Good afternoon, brave warriors of the Splinterlands! The season is drawing to a close. The fights are getting hotter and hotter, and the mana-heavy battles require some interesting solutions. The new сards have had a significant impact on the gameplay, but the combinations of old and new work just fine.
I recently had a few battles with the cool summoner POSSIBILUS THE WISE, and in one of them I faced an opponent who was far superior to me in terms of card level. But thanks to the "Are You Not Enetertained?" rule, I had a Relenor Cleaver Gladiator, and it turned out really interesting!
So, my lineup:
POSSIBILUS THE WISE
A great summoner that gives a nice bonus to life and the Trample ability that allows you to make multiple attacks in one turn.
THE KRAKEN
A powerful tank is the key to success, so first up was this beauty with a huge amount of health, a strong shield and the ability to attract enemy attacks.
RELENOR CLEAVER
Verse of Water has great gladiators and this one, with its ability to attack from the second position, is incredibly good. Yes. this ability gives the summoner, but thanks to its strong attack and impressive shield this card could be the perfect replacement for THE KRAKEN when the enemy breaks through the defenses.
SAND WORM
Attacking the enemy's rear where mages and archers hide can be very useful, so I often use this card to take away their trump cards, and despite its low speed, this monster can be very useful.
AXEMASTER
Speaking of archers, my choice is this nimble monster. The double attack, plus the ability from the summoner to attack multiple times per turn in case of a "lethal attack" makes it very dangerous for the opponent.
MERDAALI GUARDIAN
It can be very tight without healing, so this healer is next in line. Weak, no attacking ability, but brilliant at restoring health to the tank.
SWAMP SPITTER
Rounding out the combo is a new archer with excellent ability to repair allies' shields. If the opponent will bet on archers and melee attacks, this fighter will be the best option to solve my problems :)
As it turned out the opponent also chose Relenor Cleaver and strengthened his team's shields with ARKEMIS THE BEAR level 4. And the presence in his lineup DIEMONSHARK and DEEPLURKER also level 4 did not inspire joy...
During the first two rounds the enemy diligently attacked my tank, and I managed to take away his archers!
By the fourth round, our gladiators were out in front, but thanks to health regeneration and shield repairs, I still managed to take a quality advantage.
In the fifth round my opponent came in without a gladiator, and I lost my healer, but the advantage remained on my side :)
And the first move of the 6th round was the last for my opponent :)
I've been using Gladius cards in ranked battles over and over again, and of course I'm happy to see so many players are using them, which encourages more creative and destructive combos!
