Deeplurker in the water splinter was the first card I ever pulled from a Choas Legion deck. I think it is one of the most utilized and useful cards out there for a new player starting with the free starter deck. With 3 attack and the opportunity skill for only 6 mana, it is almost always in my water battles.
For this battle I matched it up with a couple of my other favorite water cards, Serpent of Eld, Djinn Oshannus, and Merdaali Guardian. As you will see it was a Silenced Summoner battle with 28 max mana. So I chose Bortus as my summoner and had an extra mana left over to throw Hardy Stonefish in there to take a couple of hits.
My opponent went for an unusual strategy of the Death Splinter with Cursed Windeku's thorns holding up the tank spot while their archers pummeled me from the back. They did manage to take down my Serpent of Eld but they couldn't get through my combo of Djinn Oshannus and my healer. This allowed our good friend (or enemy if on the other side of the battle) Deeplurker to pick them off one by one from the back line.

Not a bad way to end a long day of battling. Gotta love it!
