Immortalis is one of the most useful Summoners in multiple types of battles and is one of the ones I use the most in my battles currently so I wanted to explain some of my strategies and tips for using it in your battles.

Currently the Earth element is very strong in the Modern format for several Monsters and especially for 2 SummonersEternal Tofu and Immortalis that It allows you to have an advantage over 2 of the 3 types of attacks in the game.
Actualmente el elemento Tierra es muy fuerte en el formato Modern por varios Monsters y en especial por 2 SummonersEternal Tofu y Immortalis que les permite tener ventaja sobre 2 de los 3 tipos de ataque que hay en el juego.
Eternal Tofu: by being able to damage enemies in melee with his Thorns

Immortalis: can reduce the magic damage that his team receives due to the Void that he grants them, but he also has Shatter, a very useful ability against enemies with armor that makes it useful even in battles where it cannot be used due to Lost Magic or because the enemy uses equipment without units with magic damage.

But instead of going into an explanation of how you should use it in each type of battle, I'm going to explain my strategies with Immortalis in some of my recent battles where you don't see hypothetical ideal battles to use it but in battles with the randomness of the Rulesets, the amount of mana and the allowed elements that pass in Splinterlands:

A battle against Eternal Tofu with very beneficial rules for units with melee damage, but where only the Earth element can be used, so it was very possible to use this Summoner that gives his team Thorns and so using a card with that type of attack was a mistake:

A battle where the Ruleset told you to use melee attacks but knowing what you could face, using Immortalis was better, even though his Shatter was useless due to Unprotected.

Hunter Jarx: I usually don't use this card at maximum level to avoid reducing its damage with Forcefield enemies, it is something I commonly do with many Earth element cards and its True Strike to avoid missing attacks.

One of my favorite battles with Super Sneak using Immortalis because it is very common for all players to use Dumacke Orc as the last position of their team and they are usually a very good strategy unless you encounter a Shatter.

This is a battle where a disadvantage of the Earth element, which is its low speed on many cards, is reversed by Reverse Speed.

Ancient Redwood: With a speed of 1 plus Piercing to pierce enemy armor plus True Strike to not miss attacks and Reflection Shield to not be damaged with Return Fire it is very useful in these battles.

Another Mirror battle but where I used the slower cards that allowed me to finish off more enemies sooner as a sign that in these battles the Earth element cards are the best.
Otra batalla Mirror pero donde yo use las tarjetas mas lentas que me dejaron acabar con mas enemigos antes como muestra que en estas batallas las tarjetas del elemento Tierra son las mejores.
As seen in these battles Immortalis is a very useful Summoner with the right strategies as I showed here since it has the necessary and effective cards for most fights.
