Here is another weekly splinterlands challenge. Every week I wait for the splinterlands weekly battle challenge, where I can show my unique battles. This post is about splinterlands weekly battle challenge post with DRAGON MONSTERS.
In this post, I will share my battle and explain my monster position and every round. I will also share my monster abilities and why I used them in this battle. I hope everyone will enjoy this battle and my explanations. I tried my best to explain this battle hope everyone will like and if anyone has any suggestions, please share them with me.
Splinterlands challenges all players to play with a specific monster each week. This challenge helps them to earn a vote from splinterlands or steemmonsters. To get a vote from splinterlands, a player has to follow the rules given by splinterlands. Every week splinterlands post about the rules. Most of the rules remain the same, just the monster changes.

This week's battle challenge post from splinterlands
Dragon Monsters are my favourite monsters. In most battles, I use dragon summoners and dragon monsters. Here I am just sharing one, but at the bottom of this post, you will see some other battles with the dragon monsters.
There are so many Dragon Summoners and Dragon Monsters. Here I am describing those monsters I used in my battle.
 | DELWYN DRAGONSCALE: Delwyn Dragon Scale is a dragon summoner. It is a common summoner. It increases the magic attack of its team monsters. It is a promo edition card. This monster is very helpful when you have so many magic-attacking monsters. It is the only common dragon summoner. |
 | CHAOS DRAGON: The Chaos dragon is a magic attacking monster of chaos edition. It is a high mana-costing monster. It has four abilities at its highest level. It is a legendary monster. It has ten health with four defence shields. It also has three magic attacks in level 1. It has flying, scattershot, blast, and blind ability at its highest level. |

I used this dragon monster in my battle. But I have many. I rent all my favourite dragon monsters at the beginning of the season. I have one of my best battle with a dragon monster from last season, which I will add at the end of this post.

That was my lineup for this battle. You may be surprised to see so many magic-attacking monsters when the battle rules have the Spreading Fury rule set. But there were not many monsters available in my collection.
Line-Up Explanation
Here I will tell the reason for using a specific monster in a particular position.
DELWYN DRAGONSCALE
Delwyn Aragon Scale is a common dragon summoner. This is a promo edition monster. It has a magic attack-increasing ability. It increases one magic attack of all the monsters of its team. It costs five mana for the battle, so it is not an idea to use it in every battle. But this monster is helpful when you have so many monsters with magic attack abilities. Its max level is 10.
Why did I choose this monster?
- Answer: Delwyn Aragon costs five mana. It can increase the magic attacks. You may have seen that I had more magic-attacking monsters in my line than the others. This was the reason for selecting that monster instead of other dragon summoners.
1. SPINEBACK TURTLE
Spineback Turtle is a common water monster of the alpha-beta edition. It is a low mana-costing monster. It costs only five mana and has no ability at levels 1 to 3, but from level 4 to the max level, it has Thorns' ability, which is so helpful for the four mana cost. It also has a defence shield.
Why did I place it in the first position?
- Answer: I used level 4 Spineback Turtle in my battle. At level four, it has 7 Health, three Defence shields and one melee attack with one speed. For only four mana, I must say it is a better card for the first position. I placed it in the first position because it has seven mana and three shields, which help other monsters survive long. Most of my monster was magic attacking, so placing this in the first position would be great.
2. CHAOS DRAGON
Chaos Dragon is a Legendary Dragon monster of the Chaos Edition. It cost 14 mana for the battle. That means it is one of the highest-costing monsters. It has flying, scattershot, blast, and blind ability at its highest level. It is a magic-attacking monster. It has ten health and four defence shields in it all level and has three magic attacks in levels 1 to 3 at the highest level means at level 4, it has four magic attacks.
Why did I place it in the second position?
- Answer: The main reason for selecting this monster was its high quantity life and high magic attack. You will see many magic-attacking monsters in my battle because of the Delwyn Dragonscale. The chaos dragon had the most health in my lineup, so I used it next to the Spineback Turtle. I used level two chaos legion Dragon in this battle which has flying, scattershot and blast abilities. The Scattershot and the Blast ability helped me a lot in this battle.
3. SEA GENIE
Sea Genie is a Common Water monster of the Reward edition. It is a magic-attacking monster. It costs six mana and has the flying ability at level 1 max. At the highest level, it has also strengthened from level six to max.
Why did I place it in the third position?
- Answer: Sea Genie is also a magic-attacking monster in my lineup. I selected this monster for its magic attacking ability. It cost me six mana and had two magic attacks, and it got another magic attack because of the summoner. If any monster can damage the monster with three magic attacks for six mana, why not get selected? I selected it for that three magic attacks and placed it after the chaos dragon.
4. RULER OF THE SEAS
Ruler of the sea is a legendary water monster of the Reward edition. It is one of the most favourite legendary water monsters to all splinterlands old players. It has blast ability from level one, and at the highest level, it has swiftness and silenced ability along with the blast ability.
Why did I place it in the fourth position?
- Answer: Ruler of the sea is one of my favourite water monsters. I selected this because it has blast ability. I used the level one Ruler of the sea in this battle which cost me six mana, and it has five life with two magic attacks and three speeds. I wanted to get the advantage over this monster for a long time, so I placed it after the sea genie.
5. MEDUSA
Medusa is a rare water monster of the alpha-beta edition. It costs four mana and has a magic attack. It doesn't have any ability, but at level 3, it unlocks the stun ability. Stun's ability is so helpful in battle.
Why did I place it in the fifth position?
- Answer: I used level four medusa in this battle. Which had one magic attack but got another magic attack from the summoner. To full fill my 46 mana, I used this monster. I had other choices, but those were high costing, ranged attacking, or melee attacking. So I selected medusa and placed it at the fifth position because of its low health. Its stun ability was one of the reasons for getting selected.
6. LIGHTNING DRAGON
Lightning Dragon is a legendary dragon monster of the alpha-beta edition. It is a monster with ranged attack and high speed. At the highest level, it has a total of four abilities. It has flying, stun, piercing and blasts abilities at the highest level.
Why did I place it in the sixth position?
- Answer: Lightning Dragon is a ranged attacking monster, which was the reason for placing it in the last position. I used a level 2 lightning dragon in my battle, with seven health and three ranged attacks.
Battle Rounds
- First, the opposing Summoner, General Sloan, increased the Ranged attack of one of his team's monsters, and my Delwyn Aragon Scale increased one Magic attack of my team's monsters.
- After that, the opponent's Djinn Renova increased one health of all monsters in its team with its Strengthen ability, and Time Mage reduced one speed with its Slow ability.
- And Time Mage makes the first attack. It hit my team's Chaos Dragon with its 1 Magic attack and reduced one health.
- Due to the opponent's Shieldbearer's Taunt ability, all my monsters except the Chaos Dragon hit it until it dies.
- After Time Mage's attack, Lightning Dragon reduced the Shieldbearer's three shields with its ranged attack, and after that, Chaos Dragon killed the opponent's GARGOYA DEVIL with its 4 Magic Attack. Because of Chaos Dragon's Blast ability, Djinn Renova and Time Mage lost two health. And Their speed increased by 1.5 times.
- Djinn Renova then hit Chaos Legion with his Magic attack, and Chaos Knight hit Spineback Turtle with his melee attack. Due to Spine Back Turtle's Thorn ability, Chaos Knight lost a shield after attacking.
- Ruler Of The Sea reduced Shieldbearer's three health with its magic attack and Pelacor Arbalest's two health with Blast ability.
- Pelacor Arbalest's Double Strike ability allowed it to hit twice, but it hit Chaos Dragon twice but missed the first time, but was able to reduce 3 Shields the next time.
- In the end, Medusa and Sea Genie hit and reduced Shieldbearer's total five health. Spineback Turtle attacked Chaos Knight on its turn but failed to reduce health.
- Time Mage and Djinn Renova made the first attack of the 2nd round. They hit my team's Chaos Dragon with their magic attack and reduced 3 Health.
- After that, the Lightning Dragon hits the opposing Shieldbearer and destroys all the shields of the Shieldbearer. And the Chaos Dragon hit the opponent's Chaos Knight and reduced four health. Chaos Knight Magic attack increases its melee attack and speed by 1.5x. Chaos Dragon reduced Chaos Knight's four health and Djinn Renova's two health with Blast ability.
- After that, Chaos Knight hit my team's Spineback turtle and reduced it to 5 health. However, due to Spineback Turtle's Thorn's ability, Chaos Knight lost its Shield.
- The opponent's Pelacor Arbalest hit the chaos dragon twice with its Double Strike ability and reduced the total of six health. And the Chaos dragon only had 1 Health left.
- Ruler Of The Sea killed the opponent's Shieldbearer with its magic attack and Pelacor Arbalest with its Blast ability. After that, Sea Genie and Medusa killed the opposing Djinn Renova with their attacks. This time Spineback turtle misses his attack. Again, the spine-back turtle failed to hit him repeatedly due to Chaos Knight's high speed.
- With Djinn Renova's death, his Strengthen ability was removed, causing the opposing monsters' health to drop.
First, a magic attack from the opponent's Time Mage caused the remaining health of my team's chaos dragon to drop and die.
In the 2nd attack, my team's Lightning Dragon hits and kill the opponent's Time Mage. This brought back a reduced speed of my monsters.
Chaos Knight hit the Spine back turtle and killed it, but before it died, it also killed Chaos Knight with its Thorns ability.
battle ends with the death of the opposing Chaos Knight.
Result
I won that match and earned 0.19SPS, 6503 RP with 20 Points.

- Yes worked this time, But If the enemy came with higher-level monsters, I could lose this match.
The enemy may not have much choice, so he came with this lineup.

- Yes, I tried so many battles with dragon monsters. The opponent was so powerful in some of them, but I won. One of the battles was with a level 6 fire summoner and some powerful monsters; I had selected the best possible team of mine and won them.
