Hello Splinterlandians! I think all of you have your favorite strategies and combinations of cards that you use very often and very successfully in battles. One of my favorite combinations in Modern is the Dragon Archon Akane together with the Water Splinter. I particularly like to play the two cards Night Reaper and Shock Trooper as they harmonize very well with each other and both can benefit immensely from the ability Ambush, which they get from Akane.

As part of this week's Splinterlands Social Media Challenge, I would like to introduce you to this strategy and show you a battle in Modern Ranked that I was able to win thanks to this strategy. Have fun reading! 😊
Rulesets, Manacap and Splinters:
In my battle, only the ruleset Keep Your Distance was active, which is perfect for my strategy as I will mainly be using magic attackers. In theory, I'm not reliant on melee attackers.
The mana cap of 39 is in the medium to high range. That also plays into the hands of my strategy. But it must also be said that this strategy can be played just as well in battles with less or more mana. There are many variants and it is very flexible.
All splinters are available, which of course makes it difficult or impossible to predict which Splinter and which strategy my opponent will choose. Logically, it is essential for me that the Dragon and Water Splinter are available.

| #5 |  | Then comes Shock Trooper, the first key card in my strategy after Akane. The incredibly high magic attack is essential for my strategy, even if the ability Electrified weakens my own monsters turn after turn. This trade is definitely worth it. I also have the Swiftness ability, which further increases my speed advantage. |
| #6 |  | I have positioned the second key card at the very back with Night Reaper. This is due to the high magic attack and the ability Wingbreak, which can increase the damage again and counter opposing Flying monsters. In addition, Night Reaper can counter opposing Sneak Attackers thanks to the Flying ability. |
There are basically two aspects at the heart of this strategy. One is the high speed advantage of my monsters, which is massively boosted by the two Swiftness abilities and the Slow ability. And secondly, it's the high magic attack, especially from Night Reaper and Shock Trooper. I often give these two cards the ability Ambush through Akane, so that they have an attack available even before the actual battle. This means that sometimes the one or other opposing card can be eliminated before the battle has even started. Thanks to these two aspects, the aim is to win the battle very quickly so that the Electrified ability of Shock Trooper is only activated for a few turns.
Battle:
As just described, I decided to give Night Reaper and Shock Trooper the Ambush ability in my battle. I would not have been able to benefit from the Lookout ability in this battle.
My opponent chose a strategy in which, thanks to his Archon Razi Clanktrap, the one or other ranged attacker was also played. All in all, his lineup doesn't really look like a big problem for me. His cards don't really have many life points and thanks to my speed advantage and the Ambush round, I'll probably be able to neutralize his monsters very quickly without him really getting to attack.
One of the goals of my strategy has already paid off. In the Ambush turn, I was able to defeat the opposing Shadowfey Sheik and Dark Arborist only has one health left.
Things are still looking good after the first regular round. My monsters have already lost one or two life points, but with Dark Arborist and Craniax The Quick I was able to eliminate two more of my opponent's monsters.
Before the start of the third round, I was able to eliminate two more of my opponent's monsters and only Silverleaf Warlock is left. My Shock Trooper has also been eliminated, but I don't need him anymore at this stage of the battle. He's definitely done his job.
Unsurprisingly, I won the battle a short time later.

To be honest, the victory was never really in danger, but I thought this battle showed my strategy and the goal behind it very well.
At this moment I also noticed that the battle result screen has been reworked compared to about two weeks ago. I like it better this way, you can actually see all the information. The developers have done a good job very quickly.
Last Words:
As I mentioned at the beginning, I am very happy to have bought Akane back then, without which this strategy would not be possible. I play this strategy relatively often because it is also very flexible and adaptable. It's also very difficult to counter in my opinion. It's probably only possible with a combination of the Lookout ability and countering magic attackers.

Von mir ist eine meiner Lieblingskombination im Modern Format der Dragon Archon Akane zusammen mit dem Water Splinter. Dabei spiele ich besonders gern die beiden Karten Night Reaper und Shock Trooper da sie sehr gut miteinander harmonieren und beide immens von der Ability Ambush profitieren können, welche sie von Akane erhalten.

Rulesets, Manacap und Splinters:
In meinem Battle war lediglich das Ruleset Keep Your Distance aktiv, was für meine Strategie perfekt ist, da ich hauptsächlich Magic Attacker verwenden werde. Auf Melee Attacker bin ich theoretisch nicht angewiesen.
Das Manacap ist mit 39 eher im mittleren bis hohen Bereich anzusiedeln. Auch das spielt meiner Strategie in die Karten. Man muss aber auch sagen, dass diese Strategie genau so gut in Battles mit weniger oder mehr Mana gespielt werden kann. Da gibt es viele Varianten und sie ist sehr flexibel.
Es sind alle Splinter verfügbar, was es natürlich schwierig bis unmöglich macht vorauszusagen, welches Splinter und welche Strategie mein Gegner wählen wird. Für mich ist logischerweise essenziell, dass das Dragon und Water Splinter verfügbar ist.
Lineup und Strategie:

Das Herzstück dieser Strategie sind im Grunde genommen zwei Aspekte. Zum einen ist das der hohe Geschwindigkeitsvorteil meiner Monster, welcher durch die beiden Swiftness Abilities und die Ability Slow noch mal massiv verstärkt wird. Und zum anderen ist es der hohe Magic Attack, besonders von Night Reaper und Shock Trooper. Oft verleihe ich diesen beiden Karten dann durch Akane die Ability Ambush, sodass sie schon vor dem eigentlichen Battle einen Angriff zur Verfügung haben. So kann manchmal schon die ein oder andere gegnerische Karte ausgeschaltet werden, bevor das Battle eigentlich losging. Dank dieser beiden Aspekte ist es das Ziel das Battle sehr schnell zu gewinnen, sodass die Ability Electrified von Shock Trooper nur wenige Runden aktiviert wird.
Battle:
Wie soeben beschrieben, habe ich mich in meinem Battle dafür entschieden Night Reaper und Shock Trooper die Ability Ambush zu geben. Von der Ability Lookout hätte ich in diesem Battle nicht profitieren können.
Mein Gegner wählte eine Strategie in der dank seinem Archon Razi Clanktrap auch der ein oder andere Ranged Attacker gespielt wurde. Alles in allem sieht seine Aufstellung aber nicht wirklich nach einem großen Problem für mich aus. Seine Karten haben nicht wirklich viele Lebenspunkte und dank meines Geschwindigkeitsvorteils und der Ambush Runde werde ich seine Monster vermutlich sehr schnell neutralisieren können, ohne das er wirklich zum Angreifen kommt.
Eines meiner Ziele meiner Strategie ist schon mal direkt aufgegangen. Und zwar konnte ich in der Ambush Runde bereits den gegnerischen Shadowfey Sheik besiegen und Dark Arborist hat nur noch einen Lebenspunkt.
Nach der ersten regulären Runde sieht es weiterhin gut aus. Meine Monster haben zwar schon den ein oder andere Lebenspunkt verloren, jedoch konnte ich mit Dark Arborist und Craniax The Quick auch zwei weitere gegnerische Monster eliminieren.
Vor Beginn der dritten Runde konnte ich nochmal zwei weitere Monster meines Gegners eliminieren und es ist nur noch Silverleaf Warlock ürbig. Mein Shock Trooper wurde zwar auch schon eliminiert, jedoch brauche ich ihn bei diesem Stand des Battles nicht mehr. Er hat seine Aufgabe definitiv erfüllt.
Wenig überraschend konnte ich das Battle kurze Zeit später gewinnen.

Ehrlich gesagt war der Sieg nie wirklich gefährdet, aber ich fand dieses Battle hat meine Strategie und das Ziel dahinter sehr gut aufgezeigt.
In diesem Moment fällt mir außerdem auf, dass der Battle Result Screen im Vergleich zu vor ca. zwei Wochen erneut überarbeitet wurde. So gefällt mir das schon besser, man kann eigentlich alle Infos entnehmen. Da haben die Entwickler sehr schnell einen guten Job gemacht.
Letzte Worte:
Wie bereits zu Beginn erwähnt bin ich sehr froh damals Akane gekauft zu haben, ohne die diese Strategie nicht möglich wäre. Ich spiele diese Strategie relativ häufig, weil sie auch sehr flexibel und variabel anpassbar ist. Außerdem ist es meiner Meinung nach sehr schwer sie zu kontern. Das geht vermutlich nur aus einer Kombination von der Ability Lookout und Kontern von Magic Attacker.
