EOS Rewards
Hello everyone! In this post I will share my results from the latest Splinterlands season and my EOS rewards.
In addition to that, I'll share some thoughts and experiences on the new Frontier mode of the game.
During the last season I finally managed to do some more battles again and got a fairly reasonable EOS result. I even got a spot on the leaderboard again.
I finished the season with a total Rating of 1800 at rank 24 of the silver leaderboard. For that I received 25k Glint leaderboard rewards in addition to the 21.567 EOS Glint i accumulated during the season.

Adding this to the regular Glint I saved up during the season, I had a total of 68.298 Glint to spend. As always it went to major chests from the rewards shop:

Even though I had a lot more Glint to spend than in the previous seasons, the rewards were rather underwhelming. I did get my first copy of Syrenth, which brings me closer to gettin at least one copy of each card from this rewards set (only 4 more legendaries and one epic to go). Other than that I wasn't able to level up any cards and did not get any special rewards.
Frontier Mode
Since the rewards were rather boring again I want to add some thoughts on the new Frontier mode in the Splinterlands game.
First of all, for those who haven't heard of it, yet.
Frontier is the new 100% free-to-play mode in Splinterlands.
That's right, 100% free-to-play.
No need to buy any cards or invest into SPS to get rewards.
You can get started, just by creating an account and playing the recently added campaign mode to get some Foundation cards.
As soon as the campaign is done, you can head over to the Frontier mode and start battling other people with those cards and even earn some rewards.
I have to say, I was kind of surprised that the Foundation cards can be sold on the market.
What surprised me even more was that some of those cards were sold for $ 0,5 or even more.
Since I didn't plan to compete in the higher leagues of Frontier mode, I decided to sell some of my newly earned cards as well.
After checking the prices again today, it seems like it was a great decision.
I got several New Beluroc Aegis copies in my first few Frontier rewards and saw that they were being sold for about $ 0,8 per CC.
I decided to put up one copy for $ 0,75 and it was sold pretty fast.
Right now the price is way lower (about $ 0,27), but I'm still surprised how much people are ready to pay for those cards that can be earned without any additional investment.
As for the gameplay in Frontier mode, I have to say that right now it seems kind of boring to me. Since I'm still competing in low bronze, every one is pretty much limited to the starter cards from campaign mode and therefore most matches are kind of predictable. It often seems like there are few good options for a team and it's just about who counter-picked the other team.
However, this might change within the next days or so, when people get more rewards and more different and leveled-up cards come into play.
Overall, I think the new mode is a great addition to the game and probably helps to keep new players interested in the game, since they can earn some cool rewards straight away, without any major initial investments.
As always thanks for reading and I wish everyone a great new season!
