Last week was a whirlwind of discussions, feedback, and, of course, many questions about the Splinterlands proposal, which recently got caught up in an internal mess from the Hive ecosystem witnesses. I myself have been deeply involved in these debates, mainly through reading. As someone who has been in the community for a while, I’d like to share some personal reflections on what’s at stake.
Let’s talk about something crucial for #Play2Earn games on Hive, or rather, the future of Splinterlands on Hive. There’s a lot of concern among us players about the real intentions of the team, which has been divided between a few projects within the same company. I understand the anxiety, especially when we read that Splinterlands might be forced to change blockchains if things don’t go as planned. It’s a scenario no one wants to see, right? However, it’s important to note that the team seems genuinely committed to keeping the project on Hive unless there really is no other alternative. Personally, I’m relieved to know they are willing to explore all possibilities to keep Splinterlands on our beloved blockchain.
Another hot topic is the use of the funds that will be obtained once approved. They are asking for exactly 486,553 $HBD, which is not a small amount. It’s a fair question, and I admit I was also curious to know exactly where every penny will go. The answer we have so far is that the money will be invested in marketing and promotion for Splinterlands, with the goal of attracting new players and improving the experience for those already here. Although we don’t have a detailed breakdown, the promise to invest in a solid marketing strategy and enhance the integration of new players seems promising. We really need a more robust approach to turn Splinterlands into something even bigger and more attractive.
The idea of promoting Hive within Splinterlands itself seems interesting. Adding “Powered by Hive” in some prominent spaces on the site and creating educational modules in the game are steps that show a real commitment to our community. And not just that, of course – rewarding Hive Power holders and encouraging new players to engage more is a smart strategy. This not only helps to strengthen our blockchain but also keeps the community engaged and motivated. I believe many new Splinterlands players barely know that an amount of RC is needed for transactions in the game.
What Splinterlands can do for Hive is immense. There’s no doubt that having a “breakout app” can put Hive on the map in a way that no advertising campaign could. I’m hoping that Splinterlands will be that breakout app, but I’m also excited to see other innovations emerging. The key is to keep trying and exploring new possibilities. After all, more attempts mean more chances of success for all of us.
No Guarantees, Just Commitment
Finally, what can we expect from the proposal? Unfortunately, there are no guarantees. What the team offers us is a genuine commitment: to do the best possible with the available resources, to keep Splinterlands on Hive whenever possible, and to continue supporting our blockchain. That’s the most we can ask for, and as a passionate player, that’s what really matters to me.
Let’s keep watching, supporting, and above all, continue believing in the potential of Splinterlands and Hive. The road ahead may have its challenges, but it also brings exciting opportunities for the entire Hive ecosystem.

Acredito que muitos novos jogadores de Splinterlands mal sabem que é necessário uma quantidade de RC para transações no jogo.
