Most of the summoners that we play with are rare. When we get them up to level 7 we can pair them with level 9 commons, level 7 rares, level 5 epics and level 4 legendary monsters.
At this point in my series I've integrated cards from Rebellion with cards from Chaos Legion. I addressed those groups separately through level 4.
I think these are some of the most impactful dragon monsters to start leveling up if you happen to have some level 7 rare summoners to pair them with. These upgrades will also work if you have level 4 legendary summoners, level 5 epic summoners or level 9 common summoners.
At level 7 Runic Skyclaw picks up a 5th ranged attack damage.
At level 4 Desert Dragon picks up the giant killer ability.
At level 4 Carnage Titan picks up a 4th melee damage which is a 7th and 8th damage with double strike.
At level 4 Solace Ashinach picks up the redemption ability. Just picture this in the little league ruleset. Your opponent manages to get through 10 health only to see Ashinach obliterate their team with the redemption ability.
When picking out new cards to level up, it's important to consider whether you'll be playing in modern or wild format. All of the cards that I discussed in today's post are legal in modern. If you start to level these cards up remember that they will revert to a lower level if you play them with a lower level summoner.
