It’s Day 10 of my Splinterlands comeback, and I finally dipped my toes into Frontier Mode.
Spoiler: it’s no joke.
The difficulty ramped up fast, and with limited Energy Capture Rate (ECR) and only a few wins, I wasn’t able to complete the 6 daily reward chests. But hey—I still got 4 reward cards, and I’m not complaining.
🎁 Reward Highlights:
🎉 Pulled Marlai Singariel, a rare Water summoner from Frontier rewards!
🃏 3 more common cards (nothing flashy, but still useful for combining)
Couldn’t complete all 6 chests due to low ECR and tough matchups
Still, just getting a summoner feels like a step forward for my collection, especially since I’m experimenting more with Water Splinter.
🔥 Back to the Modern Format Grind
While Frontier was punishing, I went back to Modern Format to farm Glint more efficiently. My target was 2,250 Glint, just enough to exchange for 3 rare cards without exhausting my ERC.
I stayed mostly within the 1,000 rating range and used my Bronze-level maxed Fire Splinter, which I’m slowly getting comfortable with. It's far from meta, but it's consistent for my current level.
🎯 Lessons from Day 10:
Frontier Mode is rewarding, but energy-hungry and not for the faint of heart
Getting a summoner like Marlai is rare and super valuable
Farming Glint with ERC awareness in Modern is more sustainable for now
💬 Question for You:
Do you focus more on Modern, Wild, or Frontier for Glint and rewards?
What’s your ECR management strategy for maximum Glint gain?
