After losing a lot on Day 1, I’m happy to say this:
Day 2 was way better—I made it to Bronze II!
That tiny trophy icon never looked so good 😄. I managed to pull off a few lucky battles, made smarter lineup decisions (I think?), and I’m starting to get the rhythm of the Modern format—even if I'm still learning what most of the new cards do.
🎁 What I Got from My Bronze II Reward Chests:
🪙 166 Merits (Still figuring out the best way to use them)
🧪 1 Alchemy Potion (Useful for boosting reward drops, I guess?)
✨ Glint Reward Draw: 3 New Cards!
I used my Glint to grab 3 reward draws and here’s what I got:
🐊 Giant Alpine Skink – High health, decent tank at low mana
🔥 Drybone Hobgoblin – Melee attacker with Reach + Immunity!
🌊 Mar Toren Trader – Solid support
I’m starting to feel like I can actually build a lineup around some of these. But since I’m still clueless about good Bronze combos in Rebellion and Conclave Arcana, I’d love advice from other players.
💬 Can You Help Me Again?
If you’re reading this and you’re a Splinterlands veteran or even just a Bronze grinder like me:
Which of these reward cards are worth leveling or building around?
Do any of these pair well with common low-mana summoners?
How do you build teams that win even with limited card access?
🗨️ Please drop your thoughts below or share a combo that could work with these 3 new cards. I’m all ears!
⚔️ My Day 2 Strategy Shift
What worked better today:
I focused on understanding the rulesets before selecting cards.
I used Reach and Immunity synergy more effectively with Drybone Hobgoblin.
I kept experimenting with positioning, even if it led to losses.
📅 Coming Up Next:
Experimenting with rental cards in the Modern pool
A few battle links to review what worked and what didn’t
More daily updates and hopefully a smooth climb to Silver!
Thanks for joining my journey back into Splinterlands. If you’re in the same spot—or just want to help a returning noob out—drop a comment or card tip below!
Let’s keep climbing. 💪
