Today was a reality check.
I wanted to try something new, so I went all in on the Frontier format—and wow… it's unforgiving.
I started the day in Bronze II, full of energy and optimism. But after grinding out just enough battles to earn 6 reward cards, my Energy Capture Rate (ECR) dropped to 23/50, and I got knocked all the way back to Bronze III. Ouch.

🤯 Lessons learned about the difficulty in Frontier
Frontier format definitely feels more intense:
More meta-aware opponents
Greater card variety (no restrictions = tougher matchups)
My limited collection is no match for maxed or high-level cards
Lesson of the day: Frontier isn’t for the under-geared or under-prepared.
🔄 Tomorrow's Plan: Back to Modern
To recover, I’ll return to the Modern format, where my limited card pool (mostly Rebellion and Conclave Arcana) can still hold its own.
The goal:
Climb back to Bronze II or higher
Collect more Glint + reward cards
Slowly build a stronger core.
To those more experienced:
Do you play Frontier regularly, or avoid it with a limited deck?
What’s the best strategy to recover ECR while still progressing?
Should I focus only on Modern until I get stronger cards?
Every loss is still a lesson, and while today was a setback, I’m not giving up. I’m learning what works (and what doesn't), and I’m more motivated than ever to build a better deck and climb back up.
