On Day 9 of my Splinterlands return journey, I managed to climb into Silver III, but I can barely move beyond 1000 rating. I’ve been using max Bronze level Fire Splinter cards, but progress has been really slow—and frustrating.
No matter how well I position or time my abilities, it feels like I’ve already hit the ceiling with just one splinter.
🧠 Is It Time to Rent More?
I'm now seriously thinking:
💭 Should I rent at least 2 splinters at max Bronze level to have more flexibility with rulesets and mana caps?
Right now, I don’t have the depth to adjust to tricky modifiers like:
Earthquake
Weak Magic
Noxious Fumes
Maybe a second or third splinter could help me push deeper into Silver. I’d love to hear thoughts from players who’ve climbed out of this early-game limbo.
💎 Day 9 Rewards Recap
Even with the struggle, I still picked up some decent rewards:
🎯 4 reward cards from Frontier Mode
⭐ 2 rare cards from Modern Mode
It’s not all bad—and it’s keeping me motivated.
🛠️ What I’m Considering Next
Rent Water or Life Splinter (or both) at max Bronze level
Track battle win rate based on splinter matchups
Share more gameplay analysis in future blog entries
Keep learning the Modern format meta and adapt as I go
🗨️ My Question for You:
If you're reading this and you’ve made it through Silver III or beyond:
Do you rent multiple splinters early in the season?
Or do you grind with one splinter and stick to it?
Which splinters are best for consistent Silver wins in the Modern format?
I’m open to learning and would appreciate your kind guidance. 😊
