Scavo Technomancer is yours magic cards to go in any kind of battle situation. It's a Neutral Splinter, thus making it available for any deployed Splinter. Although it cost 5 mana but deal only 1 damage, it is fitted with Blast ability, and later a handful of Support
abilities.
Pros & Cons
![]() | ![]() |
---|---|
1. A convenience magic card (since it come from Neutral Splinter) fitted with Blast ability. In fact its very rare to find magic cards which possessed Blast ability. | 1. Other than its magic and Blast ability, this card have a rather low overall parameter. And there is no significant growth gained (only 1 tick for for speed, health, and damage). |
2. Blind and Rust are very useful since they affect your opponent no matter what their attack types. | 2. |

Market Price Analysis
The card price have falling quite rough. The price have been at $0.60 and swing up to $0.90, and now it falls down between $0.30 to $0.40. The cards have been quite stable this past months although there is still frequent price swing. The gold foil also affected by downtrend, but have been stable at around $3.00 this past 2 weeks. Both foil seemed to be affected with the recent down surge. There's no sign of reversal in the trend, this supposed to be a good time to add new cards to collection.
By the total cost to reached max level, the regular foil will cost $42.55 while the gold foil will cost $63,80. The price difference is quite high in my opinion. Therefore consideration need to be taken when purchasing gold foil.
Progression Analysis
As a rare type card, Scavo Technomancer is limited to a 7 steps of progression. Unfortunately this card growth are hindered by several drawbacks which we will see next.
The progression started well with +1 health. This growth is crucial to maintain its low endurance. The progression then continue with +1 speed which is minor considering this card initial speed is 1. The next few steps will be quite interesting. Level 4 will grant Rust as abilities, but accompanied with the first health drawback. This will be recouped back in the following progression. The pattern is repeated but this time with +1 damage for a single health drawbacks. By this point, the overall growth doesn't looks significant, and Scavo Technomancer is very much fragile. Luckily, the final level will grant Blind which is quite rare ability but could prove useful for Scavo Technomancer to minimize melee and ranged attack.

WATCH BATTLE
Here's one of my battle experience with Radiated Brute in my formation. Click BATTLE LINK to see how the battle run.
The battle has 28 mana cap, with Normal ruleset, and all Splinter faction are opened except for Fire and Life Splinter. For my formation, I used:
Position | Card Name | Level | Mana | Health | Armor | Speed | Attack Type | Damage |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Summoner | Obsidian | 4 | 4 | - | - | - | - | - |
1st Row | Mycelic Morphoid | 3 | 1 | 2 | - | 1 | Melee | 1 |
2nd Row | Hill Giant | 5 | 3 | 8 | - | 2 | Melee | 2 |
3rd Row | Goblin Psychic | 4 | 6 | 4 | - | 1 | Magic | 2 |
4th Row | Regal Peryton | 3 | 5 | 5 | - | 6 | Magic | 2 |
5th Row | Queen Mycelia | 1 | 4 | 4 | - | 1 | Magic | 1 |
6th Row | Scavo Technomancer | 1 | 5 | 3 | - | 1 | Magic | 1 |
My opponent formation:
Position | Card Name | Level | Mana | Health | Armor | Speed | Attack Type | Damage |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Summoner | Thaddius Brood | 2 | 4 | - | - | - | - | - |
1st Row | Cursed Windeku | 2 | 6 | 10 | - | 3 | Melee | 2 |
2nd Row | Life Sapper | 1 | 3 | 2 | - | 2 | Magic | 1 |
3rd Row | Death Elemental | 1 | 3 | 2 | - | 3 | Magic | 1 |
4th Row | Ravenwood Warden | 1 | 4 | 2 | - | 2 | Ranged | 1 |
5th Row | Soul Strangler | 2 | 3 | 2 | - | 3 | Ranged | 2 |
6th Row | Silent Sha-Vi | 1 | 5 | 5 | - | 3 | Melee | 2 |
I decided to pull a full magic cards formation with 2 melee cards as Tanker
using Earth Splinter. Obsidian should head as the summoner, the magic buff is the most important part of taking Earth Splinter. Psychic Goblin, Regal Peryton, and Queen Mycelia are some of the most favorite magic cards. Combined they not only deal sufficient damage output, but also maintain survival (through Heal and Protect). In the last row I decided to take Scavo Technomancer. Its not the best choice but I choose it to maximize the remaining mana left, and in addition it will get the magic damage buff. We'll see why Scavo is not the best choice, and its quite difficult to be used.
Unfortunately, my opponent decided to use Death Splinter formation and take Thaddius Brood. Its very unfortunate since my magic buff will be neutralized by the debuff. Their formation looks solid with balanced composition between melee, ranged, and magic cards. Cursed Windeku as powerhouse Tanker
, which then followed by several magic cards, before followed by ranged cards for the back row. Silent Sha-Vi which typically placed in the back-row to deal Sneak attack while also blocking incoming Sneak attack using its medium health.
The entire formation of my opponent have better initiative and thus they able to launch a massive blitz attack on mine. Fortunately the additional layer of armor put some block those attack. Mycelic Morphoid got wasted as cannon fodder. Hill Giant now step up to be the main Tanker
and absorb lesser amount of damage. The damage also mended by Heal from Goblin Psychic. And when my formation turns come, the combined magic attack directed at the front row managed to crush Cursed Windeku to 2 remaining health.
The battle continues to 2nd round where Regal Peryton open with magic attack that score a kill to Cursed Windeku. The health debuff of Thaddius Brood turns fruitful, as Scavo Technomancer left with 2 health remaining and become a prey from Silent Sha-Vi. The rest of the formation strike into Hill Giant, but the damage output started to wear out, since Hill Giant able to survive with 3 health remaining. Heal come out again and fix Hill Giant to 5 health. Goblin Psychic with its powerful 2 magic damage score a kill on Life Sapper.
Entering Round 3, Regal Peryton score its next kill by bringing down Death Elemental. Ravenwood Warden lose its momentum having step up as the primary Tanker
. Both Hill Giant and Queen Mycelia survive from the incoming attacks. But with Goblin Psychic deliver the killing blow into Ravenwood Warden, the tide flow into my side, since its a 4 versus 2 now.
When Regal Peryton cast its final spell into Soul Strangler, the fate is sealed for good, since there's no chance for Silent Sha-Vi to catch up against Goblin Psychic Heal effect.
CONCLUSION
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
I think in all handicaps and disadvantage, my formation able to put an efficient counter strategy against the powerful ranged and magic cards. The blitz attack could wipe out my formation totally in single round. I felt very lucky to bring Queen Mycelia with its Protect, and then able to utilize Heal to maintain the Tanker
card.
Do you like SCAVO TECHNOMANCER? Why or why not?
I found difficulty in using Scavo Technomancer. The low speed with low health make Scavo easily caught under ambush attack. Meanwhile the Blast should better be cast earlier to chip off small damage to peripheral of the target. Rather than back-row damage dealer, its better to utilize Scavo Technomancer once it got Rust and Blind as abilities.
