Ever since I was a child, I've played card games in the real world, specifically Yugioh and all kinds of other card games. However, in the digital world I had never tried it, so I decided to give something new a go.
It was NFT fever time, in August 2021, and I was looking for some games about it. Like the vast majority, it was only speculative. Then I saw that Splinterlands, unlike the others I had looked at, was easy to create an account for and start playing. Best of all, it didn't require any initial investment to try it out.
In the beginning, I remember that I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the best combinations for a given amount of mana in battle. However, over time I came to realize that this wasn't the case, as there were countless combinations that could defeat even the best of my teams. At the time, I hadn't yet discovered the wonderful world of card rental.
After a few days of playing, I discovered that I could do this and so I bought some DECs, as well as the Spellbook, and then I started testing strategies. After that, I had a new mission: to find a guild, especially to take part in Brawls.
I sent requests to the most varied guilds, but many denied me, and I even joined one that I ended up being banned from a few days later. Then the player Erheal accepted me into his guild, called Crystal. The guild is made up of players from all over the world, with no hard work and the staff are extremely welcoming. At the time, they were just starting out on their Brawl journey, so it was the perfect opportunity to show what I was capable of.
After taking part in a few Brawls, I opened my third pack of Gladius cards. I remember it like it was yesterday, it was around 6am and the lights in my room were still off. Then I got my first gold card. A Quora Towershead! I still didn't know that it was the strongest card among the Gladiators, and as the price of DEC was extremely high at the time, I almost burned it. I'm glad I didn't, because she helped me and still helps me a lot in my battles.
We evolved up to Tier 3, which allowed us to earn better rewards after the end of each cycle. And so I acquired several gladiators.
I spent two long years playing and having fun. I believe that during this time, I was left out of very few Brawls, which showed my dedication to the game. Then, talking to some people on discord, I found the Hive BR community, made up of people who not only play the game, but enjoy all the wonders that this ecosystem provides. I still didn't know anything about Hive, so I asked for help and started posting around April of that year.
In July 2023, I was invited to join the community guild of the same name in the game. It was a difficult decision, since I had been playing with the other guild from the start. After a lot of thought, I decided to embark on this new journey, as part of an entirely Brazilian team.
And today I'm here, trying to evolve my Gladius and Soulbound cards more and more, so that in the future I'll have an advantage over the new players who come after Rebellion. To speed this up, I intend to keep playing and reach the highest league in the game, Champion. I'm having a hard time reaching the Diamond league in Modern mode, but I managed it quickly in Wild, so I believe I've already found the way to get there, I just need to keep fighting.
I'm very competitive, and I enjoy taking part in tournaments. For this reason, I'd like them to be longer, lasting more than 3 days and more than 2 rounds, because I'm very competitive and I like something more complex than what we currently have.

Sempre joguei desde criança jogos de cartas no mundo real, mais especificamente Yugioh e os mais variados tipos de jogos de baralho. Porém, no mundo digital eu nunca havia experimentado isso, então decidi dar uma oportunidade para algo novo.
Era época da febre dos NFTs, em Agosto de 2021, e eu estava a procura de alguns jogos a respeito disso. Como a grande maioria, era apenas para cunho especulativo. Então, vi que o Splinterlands, diferente dos demais que eu havia procurado, era fácil de criar uma conta e começar a jogar. E o melhor, não exigia nenhum investimento inicial para testá-lo.
No início, lembro que fiquei vidrado tentando descobrir quais eram as melhores combinações para determinada quantidade de mana em batalha. Porém, com o tempo acabei percebendo que não era bem assim, pois existiam inúmeras combinações que poderiam derrotar mesmo o melhor de meus times. Lembrando que nessa época eu ainda não havia descoberto o maravilhoso mundo do aluguel de cartas.
Após alguns dias jogando, descobri que eu poderia fazer isso e então comprei alguns DECs, além é claro, de ter comprado o Spellbook, e então comecei a testar estratégias. Depois disso, eu tinha uma nova missão: encontrar uma guilda, especialmente para participar dos Brawls.
Enviei solicitações para as mais variadas, porém muitas negavam, inclusive cheguei a entrar em uma que acabei sendo banido dias depois. Até que o jogador Erheal me aceitou em sua guilda, nomeada Crystal. Ela é formada por jogadores dos mais diversos lugares do mundo, sem grandes cobranças e o pessoal é extremamente acolhedor. Na época, eles estavam iniciando sua jornada no Brawl, então era a oportunidade perfeita para mostrar do que eu era capaz.
Após participar de alguns Brawls, abri meu terceiro pacote de cartas Gladius. Lembro como se fosse ontem, era por volta de 6 da manhã e as luzes de meu quarto estavam apagadas ainda. Então, consegui minha primeira carta dourada. Uma Quora Towershead! Eu ainda não sabia que ela era a carta mais forte entre os Gladiadores, e como o preço do DEC estava extremamente alto na época, eu quase a queimei. Ainda bem que eu não fiz isso, pois ela me ajudou e ainda ajuda demais em minhas batalhas.
Evoluímos até o Tier 3, o que nos permitiu ganhar melhores recompensas após o final de caca ciclo. E assim adquiri diversos gladiadores.
Foram 2 longos anos jogando e me divertindo. Acredito que durante esse período, fiquei de fora de pouquíssimos Brawls, o que mostrava meu espenho dentro do jogo. Até que conversando com algumas pessoas no discord, encontrei a comunidade Hive BR, formada por pessoas que não apenas jogam o jogo, mas desfrutam de todas as maravilhas proporcionadas por esse ecossistema. Eu ainda não tinha conhecimento sobre a Hive, então fui pedindo ajuda e comecei a fazer meus posts por volta de Abril desse ano.
Em Julho de 2023, fui convidado a entrar a guilda da comunidade, de mesmo nome dentro do jogo. Foi uma difícil decisão, já que desde o início estava jogando junto com a outra guilda. Após pensar bastante, decidi então embarcar nessa nova jornada, fazendo parte de um time inteiramente brasileiro.
E hoje estou aqui, tentando cada vez mais evoluir minhas cartas Gladius e Soulbound, para que no futuro eu tenha vantagem sobre os novos jogadores que vierem após o Rebellion. Para agilizar isso, pretendo continuar jogando e alcançar a liga mais alta do jogo, o Champion. Estou tendo bastante dificuldade em alcançar a liga Diamante no modo Modern, mas consegui esse feito rapidamente no Wild, então acredito que já tenha encontrado o caminho para chegar lá, basta continuar lutando.
Sou bastante competitivo, e gosto de participar dos torneios. Por este motivo, gostaria que eles fossem maiores, com duração de mais de 3 dias e mais de 2 rodadas, pois sou bastante competitivo e gosto de algo mais complexo do que nós temos atualmente.
