Hello Splinterlands Summoners! Today I'll be joining @thepeoplesguild latest #TPGChallenge : Unveiling the Secret Collector’s Aspect of Conclave Arcana. In today's post, I'll be speculating on the unique aspects of the new set that sets it apart and makes it more appealing to collectors than the previous sets. I divided these in three categories: aesthetics, gameplay and earnings/rewards.
Aesthetics
Each set is defined by unique borders but what could set Conclave Arcana apart is better card designs like customizable skins, seasonal card designs or animated cards. These elements will surely raise the desirability of these cards. We have seen the temporary seasonal sets last year. How about interchangeable skins that would provide more designs to cards? I for one would like this feature.
Gameplay
The set must not only look better but they should also introduce new elements in gameplay. How about each card gaining experience or XP the more it is used? This element is present in Genesis League Goals. A new way to to empower the cards should make it more enjoyable and fun to play with.
Earnings/Rewards
Of course, since Splinterlands is a play to earn game, then earnings should also not be neglected. How about a card dividend system where each card will generate some sort of reward the more it is used. This would synergize with the XP element in gameplay. The more you play with the card, then the more XP and potential earnings it gains. This will certainly add long term value to the card.
Final Thoughts
The coming of the new set, Conclave Arcana may reignite the same passion for collection and gaming that Splinterlands had at its peak. I'm looking forward to capturing the same magic and excitement we did in 2021 when Splinterlands and the rest of play to earn games were all the craze. Some of those games are now gone but Splinterlands with its passionate fans like us still remain. With the coming of Conclave Arcana, let's be ready to rise, conquer, and claim our place in the rankings!
