I love the idea that the Weekly Battle Challenge changed instead of featuring a monster to represent a ruleset. It is so good to do something different than usual and I hope they will continually do this in the future. The best way would be to mix these challenges, so every week would be more interesting.
This week we need to show a ruleset, which is the Super Sneak and the way I used it to my (dis)advantage in the Battle I played. 😇
My only problem with this new system is that it is very difficult to do battles with the specific ruleset featured for the week challenge, because it is random what you are going to get and even if you have that ruleset you need to win it somehow, which is not always easy. 😏

![]() | All melee units gain the Sneak ability. | ![]() |
Choose a summoner that increases/reduces Melee attack or Mylor. Keep a monster with Shield, Retaliate or Thorns in the last position. |
This ruleset is one of my favorite one, because it allows me to think outside of the box and try to implement a different strategy from the usual ones. There are many options to choose from, because you can take advantage of the Sneak abilities on your monsters or try to counter that. it is important to bring a high defense monster at the end of your backline in case your opponent will use their best Melee attack monsters to target that. 😇

Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Briar Patch | All monsters have the Thorns ability. |
Super Sneak | All Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability. |
The mana cap was 49, which is quite enough to pick any strategy I would like to use, but only the Fire and Earth Splinters were available. It was easy to come to a decision, because the Briar Patch ruleset, which was the other ruleset in this battle ruled out the Melee attack monsters entirely. Not, because they were banned, but all the monsters got the Thorns ability on the battlefield, so they would take at least 2 damage back on them if they would hit their target.
It was really only two options to choose from, which is to bring mostly only Ranged or Magic monsters! Both Splinter is very good with this, so it will be interesting to see what my opponent will choose. 🤗
Conqueror Jacek
Conqueror Jacek cost 6 mana and in return he has three abilities to provide to his monsters. The first and I think the most important is that he gives +2 Speed to all of his monsters, which is quite strong to attack first and try to dodge more attacks.
The second is the Scattershot, which could be good or bad, because it will randomize all the attacks in his team and the last is the Piercing ability, which means if a Melee or Ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor, the remainder will damage the target's Health. 😆
Chain Golem
The Chain Golem is one of the best all around tank in the whole game, because he has the Void and Shield ability as well, which means that he will effectively halves all the incoming Melee, Ranged and Magic damage targeting him. Even the Thorns damage is only reflecting one damage back to him, which really prooves how good is him in the first position. 😉
Molten Ash Golem
The Molten Ash golem is an amazing Ranged attack monster, because he has huge Health, but more importantly the Close Range ability, which allows him to attack from the first position. Being a Ranged attack monster he is not going to get any damage from the Thorns as well. 🤩
The Countess Sinash is a legendary Ranged attack monster and she has the Swiftness ability, which means that she will further increase the Speed of all the friendly monsters on the battlefield by one. This Speed buff combined with Jacek's buff will allow the entire team to dodge more attacks as long as they are not Magic attacks. She also has the Opportunity ability as well, which means that she will target the lowest Health monster from the enemy team. 😁
The Lava Launcher was a reward card in the past, which means that it was quite easy to acquire and he is an Epic card. He is one of my favorite monster from the Fire Splinter as long as the mana cap is over 30.
He has a lot of damage and Armor, but his Health is quite low, so it is important to keep him away from Magic attack monsters. He also has the Close Range ability, so better to keep him close to the first position in case he will fall in there. 😋
The Firecaller is one of the new reward card, so it is still possible to loother out from the daily or season end loot chests. She has quite a lot of damage, but her most important ability is the Martyr, because it will allow her to increase the stats of her adjacent monsters in case she dies. This is the kind of ability, which is easily able to increase the chance to win a game if you use it well. 😀
The Efreet Elder is my only one Magic attack monster, because you can not really find many Magic attack monster within the Fire Splinter, but I used him for one sole reason and that is that he has the Last Stand ability, which means if he is the last monster left on his team he will increase his own stats by 50% and with the additional Thorns damage he is pretty safe against the enemy Melee attack monsters. 🥰
Luckily my opponent also brought a Fire Splinter who reduces all the Armor from my monsters by two and he is able to use one Gladiator card if he wants.
He also brough a lot of Ranged attack monsters, but I had a slight advantage of attacking randomly as my team had the chance to kill his backline before they can do significant damage.
His main idea was to try to direct my damage into his Iidri Fyre using his Taunt ability, but luckily the Scattershot ability overwrote that and my team still attacked randomly ignorign his Taunt completely.
In the first round my team managed to take out his Scavo Hireling with a lucky shot, so he can not use his Repair ability anymore.
His Grum Flameblade attacked my last monster using his brand new Sneak ability and luckily my Efreet Elder has more than enough Health to withstand that and even used his Thorns damage to reflect some of his damage back to him.
Grum suffered so much damage in the second round that my team easily killed him thanks to our huge damage dealers. In the same round we lost our Firecaller, which was the best thing that could happen, because his sacrifice further boosted my Lava Launcher and Efreet Elder stats.
In the third round he almost lost his entire team by leaving only his Lava Launcher with one Health and his Iidri Fyre on the battlefield, so it was easy to secure the win for my team. 😇
