Hello Splinterlands fam!
I hope all of you are enjoying an awesome time with your friends and family. Now, if you are an active splinterlands player and spend time daily to play battles in different part of the game - ranked, brawl and tournaments, then you must be focusing on the ranked season tightly now and pushing your trophy count. Taking a look at the ongoing season clock, we still have 12 days and xx hours left before the season meets its end, but I would suggest you all to reach your goals quickly, because no matter if you want to reach a particular league tier or compete for a glorious spot in the champion leaderboard, finishing the hob before season end days would definitely be safer, because around that time, most of the OG players plays actively and aggressively. On the the hand, the game is also releasing new updates, card sales very frequently to keep us hooked. Now moving forward to the main topic of this spot, I am renting my card collection nowadays and just recently, I went to level up my 1 BCX rare Conclave Arcana cards to their max possible levels respectively. The first card, while browsing my CA rare edition card collection, was this monster called Forked Tongue Sage, a humanoid figure with a snake-like face and green skin, wearing a wizard's clock and holding a golden stick with powerful light coming from its end. I have enough cards to upgrade it to level 3 and in today’s post, I will be showcasing this card with you all. So if you are interested, let’s take a dive without any further ado.
FORKED TONGUE SAGE
Forked Tongue Sage quickly becomes an important monster in the whole CA edition card-set easily with its mana cost, because with just a 2 mana cost, this monster becomes a favourable choice for small mana limit matches and also the ones with Little Leagues ruleset. So, having this card in your arsenal becomes important. This monster belongs to the Fire element and comes from the Saurian bloodline. Looking at its rarity, this monster is a Rare type card, so you will need a total of 115 BCX cards to upgrade this monster to its max level. Its attack type is magic and apart from possessing defensive stats with a good amount of health and armour on top of it, this monster also carries a good speed and 2 very useful abilities - Snipe and Magic Reflect at its max level. Let us now look at this monster’s league-wise stats and abilities to find out more.
BRONZE
At level 2, this monster card possesses 1 magic attack at 2 speed with 1 armour and 2 health, along with the Snipe ability that it gets from its initial level. Due to getting a combo of armour and health, this monster becomes defensive against both melee and ranged attacks.
Snipe - Monsters with this ability, having magic and ranged attacks, target the first non-melee enemy unit behind the first position.
SILVER
When this monster gets upgraded to level 4, its overall stats are then increased a bit to 1 magic attack at 3 speed with 2 armour and 4 health. With the buffed-up armour and health, this monster can now endure multiple attacks, while the increased speed will allow it to attack faster. However, it does not get any new abilities at this level.
GOLD
When you upgrade this monster to level 6, it then receives further increased stats of 1 magic attack at 3 speed with 2 armour and 6 health and as you can clearly see, it is now even more buffed up and can be used as a front defence in low mana limit matches easily. Though it does not get any new abilities at this level as well, its large health bar + Armour combo is enough to save the day.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally when this monster gets upgraded to its max level of 8, then not only possesses further increased stats, but also a brand new ability at its max level. At Max level, this monster holds an increased 2 magic attack at 4 speed with 2 armour and 6 health, along with a new ability called Magic Reflect.
Magic Reflect - Monsters with this ability return 50% of damage to the attacker (rounded up) when hit by a magic attack.
As you can see from the discussion above, this monster can first of all be used as a front defence card that comes for a cheap 2 mana cost. You can also use more sniper cards with these monsters to create a backline killer strategy or leverage this monster at the front while using powerful sneak or opportunity attackers at the back; the choice is yours.
