Hello Splinterlands fam!
I guess all of you are doing well in life and spending an amazing weekend with your family and friends. But those of you who play splinterlands dedicatedly daily, I hope you are channelling all your energy into the battlefield right now. Because if we take a look at the ongoing ranked season’s countdown, only around 5 days and 8 hours are left for this ranked season to meet its end. So clearly, we do not have much time left and whatever goal you have set for yourself in this current season, either to reach a certain league tier or to secure a spot in the champion leaderboard, I guess many of you have reached there already but for those who haven't yet, make sure to accomplish your goal as fast as possible, or you may get caught in the season end bloodbath soon.
On the other hand, like I said in my last post, I have completed playing the campaign mode and earned myself a bunch of foundation cards already, which I am now using to play in the newly introduced Frontier mode. After taking a long break from actively playing the game, I am finally back and have restarted my journey with a brand new format and cards. Just last night, I started playing from the Bronze league and won my first Reward from the Frontier mode by winning a total of 5 matches. As I am playing at the lowest league right now, I only got rewarded with one foundation card, the Thalgrimore, which luckily is an archon card. As I continue to play and climb up the league tiers, hopefully I will receive more and better cards from the rewards and yes, they include gold and black foils as well! So, let me continue playing and see what cards I continue to uncover.
Stampeding Calf
Now moving forward, let me come to the main topic of this post, as today, I will be showcasing another awesome Conclave Arcana card with you all. As you have already seen it in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Stampeding Calf. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this card, let’s take a dive without any further ado.
The Stampeding Calf is a monster type card that first came into existence with the launch of the latest Conclave Arcana edition card set. This monster belongs to the Water element, and it comes from the Ulund bloodline. By rarity, it is a Common type card, so you would need a total of 400 BCX cards in order to upgrade it to its max level. This card only requires 3 mana to be used in battles, so clearly, for its low mana cost, you will be able to use this card in low to medium mana limit matches or the ones with Little Leagues ruleset. This monster’s attack type is melee and comes with no armour but a large health and decent speed, along with 3 attractive abilities at its max level, which I am going to talk about later in this post. Let us now take a further look at this monster’s league wise stats and abilities to find out more.
BRONZE
At level 3, this monster possesses 2 melee attack power at 1 speed with 4 health, along with the Charge ability, which it gets since its initial level. Though this monster doesn't have any armour, its large health will protect against multiple enemy attacks, and because of its Charge ability, you can place this monster anywhere in your lineup, and still it will be able to attack enemy monsters. So, this little attacker will be very useful without a doubt, even in the bronze league.
CHARGE
- Monsters with this ability can use melee attacks from any position.
SILVER
When this monster gets upgraded to its next league level 5, it then gets increased stats of 2 melee attack power at 2 speed with 4 health. Apart from the increased speed, it also gets a new ability at this level called Weaken, which is an old ability that many of you like to use to weaken the enemy monsters' health. For a 3 mana monster, this ability is really a great addition.
WEAKEN
- Monsters with this ability will reduce 1 health from each enemy unit.
GOLD
When you upgrade this monster further to its next league level 8, it receives 2 melee attack power at 3 speed with 5 health. Not only that, but it also receives another great ability called Deflect. Having this ability, this monster will now protect itself from all kinds of return damages and blast splash damage as well, what more can you ask from a 3 mana monster, right?
DEFLECT
- Monsters with this ability get 0 damage from Corrosive Ward, Magic Reflect, Thorns, Return Fire, and Blast splash damage.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when you upgrade this monster card to its max level of 10, its stats get a further increment of 3 melee attack power at 3 speed with 6 health, along with all those 3 abilities that I mentioned above. Though it doesn't get a new ability at this level, its increased firepower will definitely help you take down enemy monsters, while its increased health will endure more damage before going down.
Last but not least, the main feature of this monster is its Charge ability, which is a new kind of ability that gives you the power of the melee mayhem ruleset in battles, so you can use this monster in rear positions to protect it from enemy attacks, while it keeps attacking. You can also use this monster in the second place or adjacent to your Taunt ability monster to neutralise blast splash damages. So overall, this monster is really a gem and should be in your card collection. What do you think?
I hope you enjoyed reading my post about the STAMPEDING CALF card above. Let me know your thoughts about this monster in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.
