Hello Splinterlands fam!
Happy Sunday readers and I hope all of you are enjoying an amazing weekend with your family and friends. Now, for those of you who consider themselves pro players of this game, all of you must be started pushing your trophy count already in the ranked arena and climbing that trophy ladder slowly with a goal set for the season end. Most of us as usual will target to reach a certain league tier before the season end while some OG players will keep fighting for a glorious spot at the champion leaderboard positions. But keep in mind that right now when I am writing this post, we have only 12 days and 8 hours left before this ranked season meet its end, so keep tracking your remaining time and battle energy and pour all your strength and strategies into the battle arena so that you can reach your destination as soon as possible.
On the other hand, I hope you have heard the new announcement from the official splinterlands team already and hopefully have seen it too while engaging with the game. Yes, I am talking about the frontier mode, the newest mode that has been introduced into ranked format, which players can play alongside modern, wild and survival mode. The main feature of this format is that this format will have a separate energy system from modern and wild and players will complete 3 daily quests by winning 5 matches to earn foundation cards or packs. These foundation cards are now transferrable and can be sold and combined to upgrade its level as well. Personally, I really liked this new battle format and as I am yet to test out the champion mode, it seems that time has finally come and its mow time for some action mode which needs me back in playing mode. So, I am thinking to rejoin the bloody battlefield one more time to enjoy these 2 new game formats and let’s see how it goes.
Now, coming back to the main topic of this post, today I will be showcasing another awesome Conclave Arcana card with you. As you have already seen it in the thumbnail above, today I will be focusing the light upon STEPPE STALKER. So, if you are interested to know more about this monster and its usability in the game, then let’s take a dive without any further ado.
STEPPE STALKER
Steppe Stalker is a mobster type card that came into existence in the game with the launch of the latest Conclave Arcana edition card-set. This monster comes from the Water element and it belongs to the Orc bloodline. By rarity, it is a common type card, which means you will require a total of 400 BCX cards to upgrade this monster to it’s max level. It costs a large 7 mana to be used in battles, so it would be ideal to use it in medium to large mana limit matches. This monster comes with a ranged attack type and it also flaunts a defensive health + armour combo with a whopping 4 abilities at its max level, but respecting its mana cost, I think its weak point is its low speed and decent attack power. Now, let us take a peek at the league wise stats and abilities of this monster in the comment section below to find some more details.
BRONZE
At level 3, this monster possesses 2 ranged attack power at 1 speed with 1 armour and 5 health. But only that, but it also gets 2 abilities at this level, first the Close Range ability since its initial level and then the Slow ability from this level 3 onwards. So, it will help you with both its defensive features and the decent range attack power, and you nay try using it at front position as your first wall of defense without disabling its range attack because of close range.
CLOSE RANGE
- Monsters with this ability can use range attacks from the first position.
SLOW
- With this ability, now this monster give -1 speed to all enemy units.
SILVER
When you upgrade this monster to the next league level of 5, there it receives an increased stats of 2 ranged attack power at 2 speed with 2 armour and 5 health along with a new brand new ability at this level called Painforge. Suddenly after getting 3 abilities and a pumped-up stats, this monster becomes way more powerful at Silver league, a great high defensive card so it will become a popular choice in high mana limit matches.
PAINFORGE
- With this ability, thus monster now gets +1 power when damaged by poisoned or burning or hit by an ally.
GOLD
As this monster gets upgraded to level 8, there it gets a further increased stats of 3 ranged attack power at 2 speed with 2 armour and 7 health, but sadly, it does not get any new abilities at this level. But its increased firepower of 3 ranged attack with Close Range and Painforge + Slow ability will serve you well on the battlefield.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally as this monster card gets upgraded to its max level of 10, there all of its its stats except for the health remains the same as of its previous level, as it now gets 3 ranged attack power at 2 speed with 2 armour and an increased 8 health. Not only that, but gladly it receives another new ability called Shield. With this nee ability and increased health, this monster now becomes too strong to kill down quickly, especially for melee and ranged monsters.
SHIELD
- This monster now tales 50% less damage (rounded up) from physical attacks and 0 damage from physical attacks of 1 power.
Last but not least, this is a pure defensive monster designed to serve at the front position of your lineup. With its close range ability, it can also attack from first position while the Shield ability will help it to take reduced damage from physical attack. On the other hand, the slow ability will decrease all enemy card’s speed and the Painforge ability will give it more power if damaged by poison or burning abilities or by ally units. So overall, this card is a good package and deserves a spot in your collection, what do you say?
I hope you enjoyed reading my post about the Steppe Stalker
card above. Let me know your thoughts about this monster in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.
