I've been a bit inactive these past few days, so I haven't been playing Splinterlands and have been maxed out on energy for several days.

This last season I reached one of the records of total Glint obtained in a season: 93.000 GLINT. I ended up being on Diamond III and with a juicy amount of GLINT to spend on cards from the Rebellion set.

With all the GLINT obtained in this last season, and taking advantage of the fact that I had already accumulated many common and rare cards, I considered that the best option was to focus on raising the level of my epic cards.
So, I decided to buy some alchemy potions and spend all the accumulated GLINT on opening epic cards, hoping to get some in Gold Foil version.

Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to get my first epic Gold Foil from the Rebellion set, even though I collected all 12 potions to have a much better chance.
Anyway, the cards I got will be useful to keep improving the ones I already have in common version, especially because most of them are still at level 1.
This is a summary of all the cards I have from the Rebellion set of epic quality, which I have accumulated during these last four months.

As you can see I have a great amount of epic cards to level up, but I will leave it for another publication where I will also tell you what is the use I give to each one of those cards.
With the few reward points I had left, I decided to buy all the MERITS from the first two bumps in order to get some cards from the Gladiator set.
In the end, I had enough to buy four Gladius Cases, with the expectation of getting at least some epic card and, with any luck, a Gold Foil.

The result was quite optimal, I got the two epic cards I was looking for which were Quora Towershead, in my opinion one of the most broken cards of the Gladiator set.

To start this new season, I decided to rent the same deck of the previous season from PeakMonsters.com, which had cost me about 5 or 6 usd. The problem was that the level 8 summoners I had purchased were no longer available for rent, so the price tripled.
The most affordable cards I got were level 6, which forced me to manually rent all the lower level cards, so as not to waste DEC on cards I couldn't take full advantage of.
This season I ended up spending around 3000 DEC on the deck, plus another 2000 DEC on the Wild Pass. If prices stay like this, I'll probably consider playing Modern Ranked directly, as it offers better rewards and the spending is likely to be similar.

The deck I ended up renting is not the best of them all, and I doubt it will be good enough to keep me in the ranks I was in before. But, as I mentioned, going back to last season's deck was too expensive, so I decided to put together an inexpensive deck to at least be able to play in Gold.

This last week I've been pretty busy with other commitments, so I haven't had time to play Splinterlands and I haven't had time to do any content about the game. I saw that they added a new Story Mode that I'll probably be reviewing in some post, see you next time!
