Hello everyone! I'm back again today with more Splinterlands content, where I'll be talking about the many changes I've made to my gameplay strategy.
¡Hola a todos! Hoy regreso nuevamente con más contenido de Splinterlands, dónde estaré hablando de muchos cambios que he realizado en mi estrategia de juego.
Over the past few days, one of my debates was whether to continue playing in the Wild Classified format or Modern Classified, since my performance had dropped significantly and I was spending a total of 7,000 DEC per season, which wasn't offset by my SPS earnings.
Finally, I decided that for the start of the new season, I was going to rent a deck to play with cards from the Rebellion set, complementing the ones I obtained through the seasonal recommended cards.
En estos ultimos dias, uno de mis debates era si seguir jugando en el formato Wild Ranked o en Modern Ranked, ya que habia bajado bastante el rendimiento y me estaba gastando un total de 7000 DEC por temporada que no veia compensados en mis ganancias de SPS.
Finalmente, tome la decisión que para este inicio de nueva temporada, iba a alquilar un mazo para jugar con cartas del set Rebellion complementando con las que obtuve gracias a las recommpensas de temporada.
Before showing you the cards I rented for this season, I wanted to show you this season's rewards.
I decided to spend the GLINT I had on two legendary cards to increase my card variety, since some legendaries don't require that much level to perform well.
Antes de mostrar las cartas que renté para esta temporada, queria mostrarles las recompensas de esta temporada.
He decidido gastar el GLINT que tenia en obtener dos cartas legendarias para ir aumentando mi variedad de cartas, ya que algunas legendarias no necesitan tanto nivel para funcionar bien.
Luckily, I didn't have the two cards I got before, so now I have a new option in my Water deck to use a card that attacks from second position with almost no mana cost, like Endless Gibbon. Chaos Battlemage seems like a good card, simply because it's a neutral card, which I can use in most of my battles.
I had some GLINT left over, so I took advantage of the MERITS I'd been accumulating for weeks and those I could acquire, to open a total of six Gladius Cases.
Por suerte, las dos cartas que me salieron no las tenia desde antes, asi que ahora tengo una nueva opción en mi deck de agua para usar una carta que ataca desde la segunda posición con un casi nulo costo de maná como es Endless Gibbon. Chaos Battlemage parece ser una buena carta, simplemente por ser una carta neutral, que puedo usar en gran parte de mis batallas.
Me habia sobrado un poco de GLINT, asi que aproveché los MERITS que venia acumulando hace semanas y los que podia adquirir, para abrir un total de 6 Gladius Cases.
Of all the items obtained, there really isn't much to write home about. Gladius Cases generally have a good rate of Gold Foil cards and cards due to their rarity, but this time, that wasn't the case.
I only got two cards in the Gold Foil version, while I already had two epic cards. I suppose they'll be useful in the future when I continue to improve the cards in the Gladiator set.
De todo lo obtenido, realmente no hay mucho que destacar. Generalmente, las Gladius Cases suelen tener un buen rate de cartas Gold Foil y de cartas por su rareza, pero en esta ocasión no ha sido el caso.
Solo he conseguido dos cartas en la version Gold Foil, mientras que dos cartas épicas que ya tenia. Supongo que en un futuro, me serviran para cuando siga mejorando las cartas del set Gladiator.
Now, let's continue talking about my new deck of cards that I prepared for this new season.
To do a quick test, for this first season I'll spend almost the same amount as I did in the Wild format: 6,000 DEC. The difference here is that I'm not spending as much DEC on buying a pass, but rather on cards.
One of the hardest things to get cheaply for this season is high-level summoners, so I had to settle for some summoners of various elements from levels 4-7.
Ahora si, vamos a continuar hablando sobre mi nuevo mazo de cartas que preparé para esta nueva temporada.
Para hacer una breve prueba, para esta primera temporada gastaré casi lo mismo que gastaba en el formato Wild: 6000 DEC. La diferencia que acá no se van tantos DEC en comprar un pase, sino que en cartas.
Una de las cosas más difíciles de conseguir de forma economica para esta temporada, son los invocadores de nivel alto, asi que tuve que conformarme con algunos invocadores de varios elementos de lvl 4 - 7.
One of my biggest regrets was renting level 4 and 5 summoners. After playing my first game, I realized that completing the campaign mode gives you legendary summoners from the Foundations set, which for some reason can be used in the Modern Ranked format, and they pretty much serve the same purpose.
For units of each element, I tried to rent cheap cards that match the summoner's level. I invested the most DEC in my Fire and Earth element deck, while I invested significantly less in the others, with the exception of the neutral cards, which I invested considerably, and the life cards, which I barely had enough to rent.
Algo de lo que más me lamenté fue haber alquilado invocadores de nivel 4 y 5. Después de jugar mi primera partida, me di cuenta de que al completar el modo campaña te regalan invocadores legendarios del set Foundations, que por alguna razón se pueden usar en el formato Modern Ranked, y prácticamente cumplen la misma función.
Para las unidades de cada elemento, intenté rentar cartas económicas acordes al nivel del invocador correspondiente. En el que más DEC invertí fue en mi mazo de cartas del elemento Fuego y Tierra, mientras que en los demás hice una inversión bastante menor, con la excepción de las cartas neutrales que hice una inversión considerable y las cartas de vida, que practicamente no me alcanzó para alquilar.
In all these images, you can see the cards I rented from the Rebellion set, plus the ones I've accumulated over several months of playing with the GLINT I earned.
I hope with this deck, I can reach Gold in my first season, where earning SPS increases considerably. I think even playing in Silver 1, I get much better SPS rewards than playing in the Wild format against bots in Gold 1.

En todas esas imagenes, se pueden las cartas que alquilé del set Rebellion más la que fui acumulando en varios meses jugando con el GLINT obtenido.
Espero que con este mazo, poder lograr llegar en mi primera temporada a Oro, dónde la obtención del SPS aumenta considerablemente. Creo que incluso, jugando en Plata I, obtengo muchas mejores recompensas en SPS que jugando en el formato Wild contra bots, en Oro 1.
