For this week's challenge I chose the Supply Runner card from the neutral deck that becomes quite powerful when combined with the summoner General Sloan from level 1, it is a common card from the chaos legion edition and its mana cost is 6 what It's not low but it's really worth having in battles to deal damage especially with the summoner I mentioned before.
Its stats at level 1 are 2 attack which is low for a card with that mana cost, 4 speed which can be considered reasonable, 4 health which is not much and will make the Supply Runner a target. not too difficult to defeat, but with the right positioning this won't be a big problem and will also depend on what cards your opponent is going to use.
At level 10, which is his maximum level, he already has 3 attack so it improves a little but it's still a low value for a maximum level card that spends 6 mana, 5 speed which is already considered high so at this level probably it will be one of the first cards to attack, 5 health which is only 1 health more than level 1, so it remains a card that can be easily defeated, especially if your opponent uses high level cards. In addition, he has 2 abilities that are obtained at different levels, the Swiftness ability he has from level 5 and the Strengthen ability at level 10, both will be very useful for the Supply Runner and his other cards because they serve as buffs that I will explain next.
The image above shows an overview of the Supply Runner card, remembering that there are level restrictions in the leagues so the Supply Runner at level 5 with the Enrage ability would only be possible in the silver league or above and the Supply Runner with the Retaliate ability at level 10 only in diamond alloy or above.
The Swiftness ability will increase the speed of the Supply Runner card and your other cards by +1 so it's a very useful buff in battle because it will increase the chances of your cards attacking first, remembering that it only lasts while the Supply Runner is in battle so if he is defeated all his cards will lose this additional speed.
The Strengthen ability will increase the life of the Supply Runner card and its other cards by +1 and will also be a great buff for battles because the more health your cards have the harder it will be to defeat, especially the Supply Runner who doesn't have much life.
For the battle besides the Supply Runner I used other cards that were quite useful, these cards are:
General Sloan (level 1) as a summoner as I mentioned before he will be a great help to increase the attack of the Supply Runner card and other ranged cards as well.
The Shieldbearer (level 1) which is a great defense and has the Taunt ability that makes him the target of attacks in battle, so with him in battle I won't have to worry too much about the Supply Runner being defeated quickly.
The Luminous Eagle (level 1) that is able to attack from the second position with its Reach ability and it also has the Flying ability that increases its chances of dodging attacks from other cards that have this ability, so it will be of great help if the Shieldbearer is defeated.
Portal Spinner (level 1) which is a ranged card so will have its attack increased by General Sloan and it has the Scattershot ability which makes it attack a random enemy card, so its attack will depend on luck.
The Supply Runner (level 1) which is a ranged card with no abilities at this level, but will do good damage combined with General Sloan.
The Pelacor Arbalest (level 1) which is also a ranged card and the card that will do the most damage in battle because it has the Double Strike ability that makes it attack 2x per round.
The Lone Boatman (level 1) which is the last card and also a ranged card, he has the Snipe ability that makes him have priority in attacking cards with magic and ranged attacks, he is in the last position because he has a shield so it will be a good defense against cards that attack that position.
In battle my opponent used a summoner that increases the melee attack and health of his cards by +1 and as most of his cards are melee so he has a high amount of damage to deal in battle.
My opponent has the Disintegrator card which will reduce the melee attack of my cards by 1 so my Shieldbearer and Luminous Eagle cards will have their attacks reduced, but that won't be a big problem because I have a lot of attack from my ranged cards.
In this battle the available mana is 99 and there are no rules.
Round 1:
In the first round my biggest problem is my opponent's Living Lava card that has the Shield ability so it takes reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks so my Shieldbearer and Luminous Eagles cards don't deal damage to it and my ranged cards will also have problems defeating it.
My opponent also had problems dealing damage because the Shieldbearer has a good amount of shield and health, in addition 2 of his cards are not able to attack because they are melee and don't have the Sneak or Opportunity ability.
Round 2:
In the second round the Living Lava card that was one of the main problems was finally defeated, along with the Serpentine Spy card that did a lot of damage and attacked the card with the lowest health, so having those 2 cards out of the battle was very important, but my Shieldbearer was also defeated so now I depend on the Luminous Eagle card to defend and if it is defeated it will be a big problem because ranged cards don't attack in the first position. My opponent's Mantoid card was also defeated.
Round 3:
In this round I managed to defeat the Elven Defender card that was also a great defense for my opponent, having a lot of ranged cards in battle along with the summoner General Sloan is a great choice because I'm doing a lot of damage and even cards like the Elven Defender are being defeated easily, but I also had the Lone Boatman card defeated so I have 3 ranged cards left in battle and the Luminous Eagle.
Round 4:
In the fourth round the battle came to an end as the number of cards on my opponent's field is 0. Tenyii Striker was the target of Portal Spinner and was defeated and soon after Disintegrator was defeated by Pelacor Arbalest.
Conclusion:
Although Supply Runner has no abilities at level 1 it is still an excellent card to deal damage when combined with General Sloan, in addition to having other ranged cards in battle with good defense such as Shieldbearer and Luminous Eagle is also an excellent choice because you won't worry too much about your ranged cards being defeated as the Shieldbearer has the Taunt ability and will be the target of attacks, so your ranged cards can deal damage without problems and their attack can't be underestimated as you saw in this battle .
