So, finally I started playing splinterlands after purchasing the spellbook using HIVE and I got my first win as well.
I'll talk about my experience in going through the spellbook buying process and I'll talk about a little of my 1st plays as well.
I purchased the spellbook couple days before but I took time to understand this game before start talking about this and I think its time.
I've found all these offers that I could get just by purchasing the spellbook. I can win new items and cards, I can enter events with big prize pools, I can win ranked games to earn valuable SPS tokens, I can buy card packs in the shop, I can compete for leaderboard prizes, I can own keys to my in-game crypto and I get access to all of them just by purchasing the spellbook.
And the spell book is cost 10 Us Dollars. So, the spirit of the forest offers me the opportunity to learn the secrets of becoming a splinter master and my destiny begins with the mysteries and magic in the summoner's spellbook after purchasing the spellbook.
You shouldn't think that all these attractive offers are scams. No, there's nothing about scam. I took part in splinterlands art challenge for quite a long time and I got rewarded in my works with good value even when I didn't spend a penny in their game so this can't be a scam and besides the 10$ investment can be availed in a short time if you have a good gasp on writing blog or if you can do some art about splinterlands. I'm talking about their weekly challenge where they upvote posts with good values and besides, you can win something by playing the game as well which I'm about to check soon.
I need to pay 10 USD for purchasing the spellbook but do you wonder how I paid it? Well, there are 14 ways to pay the money from where one can chose as they like. And I chose the easiest way for me which is HIVE as I had HIVE tokens in my hive wallet.
I bought the spellbook couple days back and at that time, 10 USD was equal to 21.785 HIVE and I had to pay the amount through hivesigner using active key.
There was a needed memo though but I didn't have to select it as splinterlands site gave me a link to hivesigner attaching the memo on it and the transaction has been successfully broadcasted.
And I got this notification in a bit that the spellbook was unlocked. With this, all 6 offers that I was getting attracted to got unlocked as well.
And I was surprised to see that I was awarded with +1 Spellbook which I just bought and I was awarded with +3000 Credits as well which I wasn't aware about getting for purchasing the spellbook.
Later, I tried to check how much 3000 Credits costs from the Credits buying tool. And its equal to 3 USD which means I already got 3$ USD back from my 10 USD, Whooooray.
Now I can spend the credits in buying or renting some helpful cards for doing battles and taking charge on the battlefield.
Then I went to check on the battle page that I got at the top left corner of the homepage. I've found two options for battling, 1. Modern Ranked: Limited to only core, reward, promo or expansion cards associated with Chaos Legion or Untamed which means I can only use some limited set of cards, 2. Wild Ranked: Play is open to all cards from all sets where I can use any cards that's available to use.
I don't own any card yet but I can do battles using some starter cards that I got by purchasing the spellbook. So, I went for Wild Ranked battles where I can use any cards as I have limited starter cards only.
And there I've found an opponent and a battle of 15 mana with standard rules of combat where I could choose any elements (Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death, Dragon) as I wished to. I started choosing cards to create my team and then after choosing some cards that I thought could be helpful and I went for the battle.
And my opponent surrendered before going into the battlefield and unfortunately that's my first win where my team didn't even have to play and I didn't understand how I did in creating the team.
Then I tried once more and I got a battle of 14 mana this time.

Both my opponent team and I created our team selecting two monsters each where my opponent used earth element and I used fire element.
I used a monster with melee attack and another monster with ranged attack and both of them were able to attack where my opponent used two monsters and both with melee attack where the second selected monster couldn't attack from the position it was holding until it got the position of the other monster.
I won this battle and I'm seeing this as my first win as my team fought on the battlefield in real-time.
I see there is a lot to understand and I'll keep investigating what I can learn. I may talk about my experiences as well.
