Hello everyone! This is my second entry for this week's Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge with the Super Sneak ability!
Super Sneak is one of the most interesting and fun rule sets. It massively changes how the game is played. It allows for some fragile but strong melee monsters, that are usually difficult to play, to shine. It's usually smart to have a monster with Shield or Thorns (or both) in the back. This rule set has some particularities. Melee monsters with Opportunity, have Sneak instead. That's because Sneak takes priority over Opportunity. This is not because Sneak is in the rule set and Opportunity is in the card. When it's the reverse situation, Sneak also takes priority. Another cool effect is that monsters with more than one type of attack, if one of them is melee, it makes all their attacks be Sneak attacks.
Let's take a look at a game with this rule set. I found an interesting and close game in Diamond league ranked, Modern format:

Mylor is very strong in this rule set. However, the higher the league, the less impact it has. That's because monsters get stronger but the 2 damage from Thorns doesn't scale. The top player went with Astral Entity. They went all melee monsters and 3 of them have Thorns. The Mylor player went with 3 melee and 3 magic monsters. The bottom player placed Mycelic Infantry in the back, a very smart play. Thorns and Shield combine very well in this rule set. It took some hits and distributed some Thorns damage. Arkemis the Bear halved Unicorn Mustang's attack and Mycelic Infantry was close to dying but Khmer Princess healed it just in time. Nectar Queen poisoned Dumacke Orc but it didn't matter because it died after retaliating and got revived. It was an amazing card to get the 1 time resurrect. In round 2, the top player was finally able to take out the Infantry, followed by Nectar Queen, but they also lost Arkemis, soon after. Ever-Hungry Skull died to a Magic attack, which is its biggest weakness. At least, it was the recharge attack from Suidae Shaman, which was a big waste, the the bottom player's perspective. The top player was able to kill the next 2 back monsters and, after getting rid of Khmer Princess, the game looked much better because there wouldn't be any more heals. A few more attacks were traded and the top player ended up winning with just the Dumacke Orc left. What's curious about that is that it was the first monster to die, in this game, got resurrected, and ended up being the only survivor!
What do you all think about Super Sneak? Do you have any interesting games or strategies for it? Let me know in the comments! Thank you for reading!!
