Ruleset

Equalizer, The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.
Target Practice, all ranged and magic attack Monster have the Snipe ability.
- Snipe ability, target enemy monsters with Range, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position.
Going the distance, only monsters with range attack can be used in this battle.
Mana cap.
can use element Life, Death, and Dragon
My Lineup and strategy
- In the Going The Distance ruleset, if there is a Dragon element, we always use Dragon because it has a summoner that can reduce the damage range by -1.
- In the Equalizer ruleset make sure to fill all slots if can, because all monsters will become a good tanker (same HP).
- This time our main strategy is to use a monster with the Martyr ability (boost all the monster stats next to this monster when it dies) to be killed by the enemy by utilizing the Target Practice ruleset. We will put it in the 2nd position so can boost the stats of our monster in the 1st and 3rd position.
Because all monsters have the same HP, we will focus on damage and support abilities such as increasing speed, HP, or armor.
This is our monster formation:
Summoner or monster | Abilities | Description |
---|---|---|
![]() | Naga Assassin, 1st position, Tanker. Has the ability Backfire, and Swiftness. | I use this monster because of the Swiftness ability which can increase all friendly monster speeds by 1. Another reason I put this in the first position this monster has good speed and The Backfire ability will give damage to the enemy monster if this monster can evade the attack, with stats increasing especially the speed from Venari Marksrat Martyr's ability later we hope that the enemy monster in the first position has a hard time to hit this monster and got Backfire damaging many enemies. This monster will only attacked by 1 enemy monster in the first position because of the ruleset Target Practice the enemy in the 2nd - last position will attack our monster in the 2nd position |
![]() | Venari Marksrat, 2nd position, Attacker and Support, has the ability Martyr and Ensnare. | We used this monster to boost the stats of the Naga Assasin and Weirding Warrior with the Martyr ability this monster has. If this monster dies all the stats of the monster adjacent to it will increase. According to the rule of Target Practice the enemy range monsters in 2-6 positions will attack this monster. The Ensnare ability will disable the Flying ability from the enemy monster who got attacked by this monster. |
![]() | Weirding Warrior. 3rd position, Attacker and Support, has the ability Shatter, Amplify, and Rust ability | We use this monster because of the Rust ability which can decrease the enemy armor by -2. Amplify is useless in this battle. Shatter ability will destroy the enemy armor with 1 attack. This monster will got boost stats from Venari Marksrat. As an attacker, this monster only has small damage of 2. |
![]() | Ravenhood Warden, 4th position, attacker, and support. Has the ability Protect, and Inspire. | Use this monster because of the Protect ability which will add +2 armor to all friendly monsters. The Inspire ability is useless in this battle only affecting the melee monster. Low Speed and damage but with Equalizer ruleset at least can hold several attacks, protecting our main attacker behind. |
![]() | Supply runner 5th position, Attacker. Has the ability Swiftness and Strengthen. | Use this monster especially because it has a Swiftness ability like Naga Assassins with high speed, hoping the monster can evade the enemy attack protecting our main attacker in the last position. Swiftness ability will help Naga Assasin in front to increase the chance to evade. Hence, an increased chance of killing the enemy before they can attack. Strengthen ability will increase all HP monsters by 1, so we will have higher HP than the enemy monsters. |
![]() | Soul Strangler, 3rd position, Attacker. Has ability Poison | For 3 mana this monster has high damage, but is fragile because of its small HP, but in the ruleset Equalizer that weakness is gone. another weakness is the low speed I hope this monster can hit the enemy and inflict the Poison effect (every round the enemy's HP will decrease by -2). Because of the high damage of 4, and Poison ability, I make this monster our main attacker, so we put it in the last position. |
The Battle
- Round 1:
The battle starts with buffs and debuffs, The enemy brings double buff which can decrease our range damage by -2 from the summoner Quix and their monster Queen of Crows with Headwinds ability. Their Gargoya Devil attacked our monster Naga Assassin but miss, while both team-range monsters all attacked the monster in the 2nd position. At the end of the round Queen of Crows was only left with 8 HP and got Poison status from Soul Strangler attack, and our Venari Marksrat had 12 HP left, because our attack behind had more damage total of 6 damage and the enemy have total of 4 damage.
- Round 2 :
Gargoys Devil hit our Naga Assasin and destroyed the armor. At the start of the round Queen of Crows HP decreased again by -2 because
of the poison effect left with 6 HP, and attack by 5 our monster died killed by Venari Marksrat.
- Round 3:
With the death of Queen of Crows the Slow ability that decreased all speed of our monster by -1 is gone. 5 our monster is behind now attacking the enemy Venari Marksrat who moves to 2nd position. At the end of the round Venari Marksrat left with 5 HP. Gargoya Devil hit our Naga Assasin with 3 damage.
- Round 4:
The enemy Venari Marksrat died in this round killed by our Soul Strangler, and boosted the enemy Naga Assassin and Gargoya Devil stats. You can see the attack from our Venari Marksrat and Ravenhood to Naga Assassin can be evaded. The enemy Gargoya Devil hit our Naga Assassin again leaving it with 7 HP.
- Round 5 :
Our Venari Marksrat dies and boosts the stats of our Wierding Armor and Naga Assassin. Our Naga Assassin evades the attack from Gargoya Devil. Our Monster has difficulty hitting the enemy Naga Assassin due to the high speed it has.
- Round 6 :
Nothing happens in here except our monsters keep decreasing the HP or the enemy Naga Assassin, both Naga Assassin evade several attacks.
- Round 7 :
Finally, Our Soul Strangler can hit and kill the enemy Naga Assassin, and all of our attackers start to attack the enemy Gargoya Devil
- Round 8 :
Without a chance to fight back the enemy, Gargoya Devil got hit by many attacks and died attacked by our Ravenhood Warden, and the victory become ours.
Did your Strategy Work?
Our strategy went well there were several factors that determined our victory :
- The first I think the strategy to use Ravenhood Warden monster which could increase our armor (Protect ability). The enemy brings a monster that has the ability Return Fire Queen of Crows, every time it's attacked by the range it will give back damage, but with the +2 armor, some of these counterattacks do not hit the HP of our monster but only reduce our armor. Attacked by our 5 monsters Queen of Crows who have low speed die Quickly.
- The second point that determines our victory is speed or it could be that speed is the first point 😀. When the Naga Assassin got additional stats in round 5, the enemy Gargoya devil had difficulty hitting the Naga Assassin.
- I think the enemy made a mistake by only bringing 4 monsters in the Equalizer ruleset. We brought 6 monsters with a total HP of 14 x 6 = 84 while the enemy only brought 4 monsters with a total HP of 14 x 4 = 56. Even though Queen of Crows can reduce damage from range monsters by -1, the total damage from both teams is the same 7 damage because we have more monsters, and we have the advantage of Soul Strangler which have a Poison ability. You can see in the picture below that the total damage from 6 VS 4 monsters is the same.
Is there a better strategy?

Another strategy is to use a Ilthain summoner from the Life element that can reflect every range attack. This Summoner can give the ability Return Fire to all friendly monsters. The weakness of this strategy is that the damage from our monsters becomes small if the enemy uses the Quix summoner, so we only rely on our Return Fire ability to kill the enemy, for that we can bring Venari Crystalsmith and Herbalist. Venari Crystalsmith can provide healing to the monster in the first position, while the Herbalist will provide healing to the monster in the second position by surviving longer the Return Fire ability will provide more damage to the enemy.

So this is the formation I think will be better than our formation in this battle :
This formation with 25 mana cost is more expensive than the formation we use in this battle. This strategy I think stronger than our previous formation. But Herbalist and Ilthain at max level are not cheap to rent or buy.
