This is my entry for this week's Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge splinterbuds!
Target Practice - All Ranged and Magic Attack Monsters have the Snipe ability.
Gaining the Snipe ability for your Magic and Range monsters would become tricky. Snipe Ability will target enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position.
- Here is an example of this Battle:
The ruleset is:
Target Practice with 25 Mana Capacity. And I am choosing Death Splinter for this round.
- My Team
Summoner | Position 1 | Position 2 | Position 3 | Position 4 | Position 5 | Position 6 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Thaddius Brood | Cursed Windeku | Revealer | Life Sapper | Venari Bonesmith | Ravenhood Warden | Corpse Fiend |
Mana Cap: 4 | Mana Cap: 6 | Mana Cap: 4 | Mana Cap: 3 | Mana Cap:4 | Mana Cap:4 | Mana Cap:0 |
Level 2 | Level 2 | Level 2 | Level 2 | Level 2 | Level 2 | Level 1 |
- I am choosing Death Splinter for the reason mostly of the life-sapping skill of its monsters with magic damage. With Thaddius Brood as my summoner, I am placing Cursed Windeku as my tank for it has thorns ability. Revealer is placed in the second position for it got a descent amount of healt and with the stun ability, it can delay attacks coming from the opposing team. Life Sapper and Venari were placed in the battle mainly because of their life-sapping skills and can deal magic damage. Ravenhood Warden can buff additional armor to my team so itis used on the 5th Position and a free Mana card Corpse Fiend completed my team.
- The Battle
Guess I was matched up with the difficult team for this ruleset. I am opposing Lorna Shine who has too many Melee Sneakers. The worst possible outcome is brewing.
Round 1
Lorna Shine's Divine Shield is really a wonderful boost to the monster stats in the field. The monster can be protected from first attack which is not a good thing for my team. It can even negate skill attack so it is really a good summoner buff.
Round 3
With that Divine Shield of Lorna Shine boosting its team, My deck was already at its mercy. Those melee sneakers almost not missing their target. It was clearing the back end of my team.
Round 5
Although Cursed Windeku can return back whatever those melee monsters will throw at it, its tanking capability fell short of its opponents. Thus, my last card fell from the attacks of the remaining members of the opponent's team.
This loss is a good example of how to play the game with every ruleset. Even though we are playing with the Target Practice ruleset, the opponent did not use most of the cards that were favored by this ruleset. Clearly, Lorna Shrine is a good summoner, and matched up with melee attackers, it clearly indicates victory. One thing to note is in small to medium Mana battles, Magic and Range Dealers possess a life that is good for just 1 or 2 attacks and can be eliminated in the battle early.
