Hi there Splinterbuds! It's another Battle Mage Weekly Challenge and to all the reader out there, weve meet again!

Up Close and Personal
Only units with melee attacks can be used.
Use Thorns and Demoralize to counter melee attacks.
Units with 2 types of attacks (including melee) can be used.
- Using Melee only monsters is the set for this ruleset. So Thorns and Demoralized can gain you advantage for Melee combat. Thorns reflect back Melee damage and Demoralized can cause the opposeite team Melee damage lowered.
- Here is an example of this Battle:
The ruleset is:
UP Close and Personal with 27 Mana Capacity and I am choosing Water Splinter for this round.
- My Team
Summoner | Position 1 | Position 2 | Position 3 | Position 4 | Position 5 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Possibilus the Wise | Diemonshark | Coastal Sentry | Sabre Shark | Torrent Fiend | Hardy Stonefish |
Mana Cap: 7 | Mana Cap: 8 | Mana Cap: 10 | Mana Cap: 3 | Mana Cap:0 | Mana Cap:1 |
Level 1 | Level 2 | Level 3 | Level 3 | Level 1 | Level 3 |
- This battle sample was taken from one of my brawl battles. I am choosing Water Splinter with Possibilus the Wise as the summoner. I'm betting this round with boost of Additional health, Reach and chance to Trample coming from the summoner. With Diemonshark at the front, Coastal Sentry will do the double damage to the Tank of the enemy. Sabre Shark will be my back attacker and the rest for my team behind protection.
- The Battle
My opponent chose a Dragon Element Summoner that can boost fly to its monster team. Adding the Thorn and Sneak ability to its team, i could say that i am fighting a good brawl here.
Round 2
So let us skip round 1 and proceed to round 2. In this round, we both lost are back end monsters. The tank of the opponents team is also almost at it's limit. Although my team is being damage by the opponents thorn, they're keeping up. Thanks to the additional health coming from the summoner and of course the innate armor of my monster cards.
Round 3
This round is where Coastal Sentry cause havoc to my opponents team. Although losing it in the process, it did bring 2 cards of the opponent with it. It is really a good melee damage dealing card with double strike skill. It is only got a bigger mana requirements for using. But its still a good card.
Round 5
So this is the round where the fight ends. Cursed Windeku came short to fight on my team in the field so it loses its life in the battle earlier. Diemonshark is really a top Tank for a rare rating. Those armor and decent health's amount can let it stay in the field longer.
- Basically, Using armor, health, and speed boost can also help out with this type of battle ruleset but of course you must check if there are no other rule included that can counter what i said above. In every round of the battle, presence of mind must be practice to avoid providing the additional percentage of you loosing the battle 👻.
