Onboarding new users meet challenging difficulties which makes Splinterlands stuck and hard to get more players. From the complex game mechanism, complicated earning system requirement, and the initial investment to start the game are the main difficulties in my perspective. And now, the team has introduced the Campaign Mode which solve some of those problems.

In Campaign Mode, players are introduced with the basic mechanism of Splinterlands which is a very helpful to help new players to understand the game step by step, so they won't get lose. And after each completion of each tutorial, players will receive rewards which contains of Foundation Cards and Glint. Those 2 can be very important for new players to start playing the game freely and try spent the glint to upgrade their deck.

Book 1: Waur Medge Academy, The First Campaign is Playable

Campaign Mode has several book, and it's started with Book 1 which are now playable.
What can we get from the book 1 ?
✅ Foundation Cards – Which Replacement of the Rebellion starter cards.
They are playable on all formats, and are soulbound which not tradeable, sellable, burnable, and combinable, but may be used to earn Glint and SPS.
✅ Glint Rewards – Earn Glint as you progress
✅ A Complete Beginner Deck - Finish Book 1 and with cards you can compete with, be ready for ranked battle by using your Foundation cards right away

How to Play the Campaign

To Play the Campaign Mode, you can simply click the play button at the top left of the screen, then select the campaign.

You will moved to the book selection, but at the time, only Book 1 is playable and the Book 2 will coming soon !

Once we pick the Book 1, we will given many chapters that only playable after the completion of previous chapters. We can start with the chapter 1 and there will be rewards after each chapter's completion.

Chapter 1 only talk about the story or background of this game. You can read them if you love story or want more understanding or simply skip them with the skip button at the top right of the screen.

Voila ! Once you complete the first chapter, you get the first summoner and monster of Foundation series, along with 100 glint for the shop.

Once you claim them, you can select to move into next chapter or go to chapter selection.

At 2nd chapter, we are taught to start making a team, with just a summoner and a melee monster.

Learn the very basic of battle mechanism with very simple monster to make new players easier to understand everything.

Now we get a monster with reach ability.

At chapter 3, we are taught about the melee monster that can't attack from first position. Another very basic rules of the game. Players are really taught one by one from the simple rules to help them understand the game mechanism.

We will get range monster after finish the 3rd chapter, which will be used to learn about how the range monster mechanism of attack on Splinterlands.

More foundation card as rewards with the glint !

After playing the first 4 chapter, I realize this campaign really help the newbie to start from the scratch. Learn the very basic rules until the more advance with the step by step guidance so no one will lose it. The rewards are also pretty good as a starter cards to start playing the game, with some summoners and monsters are included.
I won't spoil all of the campaign, now it's time for you to explore the rest !
