It such a great news from Splinterlands that new format just arrived. What makes this format is different is that on the Frontier format, we can only use the foundation series cards ! This is like a league where everyone is come with equal start ! This league is also suitable for the newcomer because it's 100% free to play and rewarding with the cards after 5 wins (claimable 3 times a day).
Even for a long time player, this quite interesting as well with more strategy needed due to very few cards available, and the chance to earn the rewards.

How to Get the Foundation Cards

How to Get Into Battle and Earn Rewards

First you need to go for a rank battle, then select the frontier tab at the top of the screen. There you will find your rating start from 0, and the energy is not connected with the other league. So you still can play the frontier after you drain your energy into 0 on the modern, survival, or wild leagues.

Try get as much victory as you can on the frontier because the rewards will heavily based on that.

First rewards is the daily which you can obtain by getting 5 wins on a day. You can claim a cards after get 5 wins, and you can repeat the daily winning task up to 3 times !

The second rewards is the league advancement which works like on the other league.

Some people might ask this question. It's free, does it really has a value ?
Well, If you browser for the foundation cards on the market, then you might get suprise.

The value of the cards can even pass 10$, not bad for a free stuff. aren't they ?

Tips for Playing on the Frontier

There are some tips that I want to give for the newcomer out there :
#1. Make sure you complete all the campaign. It's important to get all the free cards and the understanding of how the game works.
#2. Always aware of the ruleset. Since the cards selection is very thight, a little changes from ruleset can give massive impact. Make sure that you are aware of the ruleset and create a line up considering it !
#3. Try to sneak at opponent history. With very limited cards to select, it would be very effective to put the counter of your enemies lane up, and the way to predict it is to see at their match history.
#4. Try upgrade your cards. The higher the level, the more stats and ability the cards would get. It never bad idea to upgrade your cards, wether you get them from the rewards or market.
#5. Learn from the Loss, because you might find a great counter strategy for your own.
