Splinterlands is much more than just a game. Over the years, it has become a home for gamers, investors, players, content creators, supporters and so many users of Hive Blockchain are attached to this game it has become a second home to many. Which is why there is always Splinterlands has given us an option for staying.
As for me, I am attached to Splinterlands in several ways. As an investor in the game, I have put amounts of my savings in the game and I am playing the game whenever I try to have some time. Not to forget, I am a curator of Splinterlands contents in Hive Blockchain, where along with other curators, we dig and support other Splinterlands content creators for their efforts in their contents. I myself consume and create contents related to Splinterlands. That is something I will keep on doing for the upcoming days, weeks, months and years.
I have been noticing the hype regarding Splinterlands Survival Mode. I was hovering through "X" and came up with a screenshot, which was really intriguing to be honest. Let me share it with you all. Pretty good rewards don't you think?

Although, the risk in playing is the survival mode has its ups and downs. The most major risks are the cool down period of cards once they loose in the battle. It really hurts when you are the on the loosing side. It hurts even more when you loose a card in the battle and yet you win the game. That frustration level or the ego of winning the game starts to hunt you even more. That eagerness makes you play the game even more. I suppose this is what should happen when you play a game. It should give you thrill, excitement and even more importantly you should be playing not because you have to play but you want to play even more.
As you can what has been happening to me in the survival mode of Splinterlands. In few matches I am winning at a good rate and in few unexpected turn of events I am loosing. And that hurting point where you get to win but you loose a very important card in cool down period which really haunts you till you win the next match.
Here's a battle where I got crushed and literally taken out very swiftly. My opponent played out in the battle very cunningly. Which not only gave him the upper hand but also he predicted my moves in a very exclusive way. If you watch the battle you will get to see what I really meant. The use of sneak attack monster really got me good and that move alone was well worth of my demise in the battle. Although, the other monsters also played a very vital role in the battle for the outcome of the match.
This battle was sort of interesting. I was going through my monsters and to be honest, this is where it felt quite agonizing. Because I won the match but at the cost of loosing one of my most used comrade of the cards. Which literally got me in pain! But to be honest, I like playing this mode, because this is where you get to use your talent and see for yourself how good or bad your tactics at the cost of loosing your cards. I suppose if it keeps on going gamers will try it out even more and more. Not because of the rewards but for the thrill that it produces upon playing the game.
I suppose those who want quite a real excitement this could turn out to be a much more played mode in Splinterlands. Not to mention if more and more things like rewards gets introduced in this mode, gamers will definitely try out this mode even more. That being said, let us keep on going and see what the team will come up with this particular survival mode. As this could be a nice way to explore the thrill of playing the game and yet turn out to be victorious with your efforts and skills.
