This week's Splinterlands Challenge of the Week was to showcase the Scale Doctor from the Dragon Splinter
The Scale Doctor is one of my favourite cards, so I've got him levelled up to max. The combination of triage and repair means he can keep two monsters alive at once, and strengthen and rust can make 3 defence points difference in your favour with the right rule sets!
This battle below features a double triage strategy with Dragon and Earth, something I've often found to be a winning strategy!
The Rule Set and Line Up
50 Mana
No neutrals - good for Dragon, more choice!
Silenced summoners.
**Summoner - Camilla **
- Robo Dragon Knight
- Gold Dragon
- Spirit of the Forest
- Dragon Jumper
- Scale Doctor
- Kron the Undying.
Did my strategy work?
Beautifully, to see it in action click here!
- Round 1 - thanks to my snipe and opportunity my opponent loses his Earth Elemental
- Round 2 - Scale Doctor doing his thing triaging my Gold Dragon and repairing my tank. He loses his healer!
- Round 3 - He loses his Gold Dragon (ouch!), triage and shield still protecting me nicely, full house!
- Round 4 - He loses his SprIit (again, OUCH!)
- Round 5 - he loses his diamond dragon.
- It's all over by next round!
How important was The Scale Doctoer?
This battle may have seemed like a tale for the Dragon Jumper, but the Scale Doctor did his bit in keeping both my Lord A alive, trough repair, and the Gold Dragon through triage.
In the end I think Scale Doctor played a very important supporting role!
And let's not forget how important rust was... Without rust, every single enemy monster would have had shields, meaning it would have taken the Dragon Jumper 6 rounds rather than just 3 to take out half of my enemy's team, which may have lead to my one of my front row monsters being taken out - he did have >20 damage after all, so that was a possibility!
I recommend The Scale Doctor as a buy, I think he's way undervalued atm, but that's not financial advice!
If you don't yet play Splinterlands, why not give it a go?
