Why Combine Cards? Which ones to combine?

Have you ever heard the phrase “Start with why”? Well, that’s what we’re going to do by explaining why you should seek to combine cards, aiming for higher-level cards. Simply put, the higher the level of your card, the stronger it will be, with the main benefits being an increase in its Speed, HP, Defense and Attack stats, making it stronger overall. In the case of Drybone Hobgoblin, for example, when he goes from level 4 to 5, he gains +1 Melee Attack.

Regarding the combination of cards to reach the next level that increases stats, I believe there is an order of importance. If at the next level your card will gain one more Attack, then it is a good change for all DPS in general. If your card has little defense, such as low HP, the levels at which it gains a little more defense end up becoming important, because it makes it last longer in battle.

In addition to increasing the cards' stats, at certain levels the cards gain extra abilities that sometimes make a total difference in the power of your unit during a match. The level at which it will unlock will vary from card to card, but what usually happens is that it releases a new Skill at the middle level and another at its maximum level. For example, Dark Arborist is a Rare card from the Rebellion Rewards Collection, which at level 3 gains the Reflect Magic ability and at its maximum level the Void ability.

In general, people try to combine their cards until they get some Main ability from their card, as in the case of Dark Arborist, reaching at least level 3 to have access to another ability, and also reaching the levels where DPS gain +1 Attack. This allows them to optimize their Deck in terms of cost x benefit, having stronger cards with more abilities, without spending so many BCX. Stronger Cards = Greater chances of victory, since if they choose the same team, the one with the strongest cards will win.

How to Combine Cards? Pay attention to Summoner LVL!

Combining cards is very simple. Initially you will need to go to the card you want to level up, preferably one that you already have many copies of, and then go to the status. In this tab of the card you will find out how many copies are needed to reach the next level and also other information, such as the skills and status that it will unlock in each of the levels.

Knowing how many cards are needed, just go to the CARDS tab of your chosen card and select the amount of BCX to reach the next level, a tip is to click on “ALL” and if the amount you need exceeds the required number, you uncheck it, after all Leaving the card with extra BCX does not bring any benefit, it is even worse since you lose the ability to use those BCX. After selecting, just click on “Combine Cards”. A confirmation screen will appear showing the previous version of the card and how it will look at the next level. Confirm if that's what you want and take advantage of your strongest card to win more battles.

A valuable tip is to pay attention to the level of your summoners, because there's no point in leveling up a card if you don't have a summoner that allows you to use it. Therefore, the main thing in Splinterlands is to have strong summoners that will let you use cards of stronger levels. Try to keep the level of your unit cards at the capacity that your Summoner can use, maintaining a balance.

Porque Combinar Cartas? Quais combinar?

Já ouviu a frase “Comece pelo porquê”? Então, é isso que vamos fazer explicando o porque você deve buscar combinar as cartas, almejando cartas de nível superior. De forma simples quanto maior for o nível da sua carta, mais forte ela será, tendo como principais benefícios o aumento dos seus status de Velocidade, HP, Defesa e Ataque, deixando ela mais forte no geral. No caso do Drybone Hobgoblin, por exemplo, ele ganha ao passar do nível 4 para o 5 +1 de Ataque melee.

Em relação à combinação de cartas para chegar em um próximo nível que aumenta status eu acredito que haja uma ordem de importância. Se no próximo nível a sua carta vai ganhar um a mais de Ataque, então é uma boa mudança para todos os DPS no geral. Já se a sua carta tem pouca defesa como um baixo HP, os nível que ela ganha um pouco mais de defesa acabam se tornando importantes, porque faz com que ela dure mais tempo em batalha.

Além de aumentar os status das cartas, em certos níveis as cartas ganham habilidades extras que fazem as vezes total diferença no poder da sua unidade durante uma partida. O nível que ela vai desbloquear vai variar de carta para carta, mas normalmente o que acontece é ela liberar uma nova Skill no nível do meio e uma outra em seu nível máximo. Temos como exemplo a Dark Arborist que é uma carta Rara da Coleção Rebellion Rewards, que no nível 3 ganha a habilidade Reflect Magic e no seu nível máximo a habilidade Void.

No geral as pessoas buscam combinar as suas cartas até pegar alguma habilidade Principal da sua carta, como no caso da Dark Arborist, chegar ao menos no nível 3 para ter acesso a mais uma habilidade, e também chegar nos níveis que os DPS ganham +1 de Ataque. Isso faz com que eles otimizem o Deck no custo x benefício, de terem cartas mais fortes e com mais habilidades, sem gastar tantos BCX. Cartas + Fortes = Maiores chances de vitória, já que se escolherem o mesmo time, o que tiver as cartas mais fortes vencerá.

Como Combinar Cartas? Atenção ao Summoner LVL!

A combinação de Cartas é bem simples. Inicialmente você vai precisar ir na carta que você está pretendendo subir de nível, preferencialmente uma que você já tenha muitas cópias, e depois ir no status. Nessa aba da carta você vai descobrir quantas cópias são necessárias para chegar no próximo nível e também outras informações, como as habilidades e status que ela vai desbloquear em cada um dos níveis.

Sabendo quantas cartas são necessárias, basta ir na aba CARDS da sua carta escolhida e selecionar a quantidade de BCX para chegar no próximo nível, uma dica é clicar em “ALL” e caso a quantidade que você precisar passar o número necessário você desmarca, afinal deixar a carta com BCX extras não traz nenhum benefício, chega a ser pior já que você perde a capacidade de usar esses BCX. Depois de selecionar basta clicar em “Combine Cards”. Uma tela de confirmação irá aparecer mostrando a versão anterior da carta e como ela ficará no próximo nível. Confirme se for isso que você quer e aproveite sua carta mais forte para ganhar mais batalhas.

Uma dica valiosa é prestar atenção ao nível dos seus summoners, porque não adianta você upar uma carta se não tem um summoner que permite usá-las. Por isso, o principalmente em Splinterlands é ter summoners fortes que vão deixar que você use cartas de níveis mais fortes. Busque deixar o nível das suas cartas de unidades na capacidade que o seu Summoner consegue usar, mantendo um equilíbrio.
