It may sound a little weird that some Mana 1 monster may protect the powerful Lord Arianthus. However, I have to admit that it was the case in the battle I will share you. I combined an anti-poison strategy and betting on how my opponent was going to play, which resulted in a winning battle. It is not always necessary to choose cards that have a huge attack power to win the battle, since Splinterlands is a strategic game.

En mi caso, tengo ese monstruo a nivel 3, en donde combiné solo 5 cartas individuales. Con esas características tiene 2 vidas, 1 ataque de cuerpo a cuerpo y solamente gasta 1 punto de Mana (lo cual es muy bajo para el potencial y ayuda al equipo de vida). A máximo nivel cuenta con 3 vidas y las habilidades de purificar y acelerar, además que es más veloz y con suerte podría esquivar algunos golpes a distancia o cuerpo a cuerpo.
In my case, I have this monster at level 3, in which I have combined only 5 single cards. It has 2 lives, 1 melee attack and only costs 1 mana point (which is very low for the potential and helps the life team). At maximum level it has 3 lives and the abilities of purify and accelerate, plus it is faster and with luck it could evade some ranged or melee attacks.

Me gusta mucho utilizarlo cuando quiero proteger a mi tanque (monstruo en la primera posición), ya que en cada ronda con la habilidad de purificar le va a quitar todos los efectos negativos como: veneno, ralentizado, evitar que se recargue, etc. En nivel bronce o plata no tiene tantas habilidades por remover del monstruo de la primera posición, pero entre más alto en el rating hay muchos más efectos negativos que va a remover en su turno. Además de eso, se podría usar cuando los monstruos Melee (ataque cuerpo a cuerpo atacan desde la 2da. fila), ya que gasta poco de mana.
I like to use the Silvershield Bard monster when I want to protect my tank (monster in the first position), because in each round it will remove all the negative effects like: poison, slowed, avoid recharging, etc. At bronze or silver level it does not have so many abilities to remove from the monster of the first position, but the higher the rating, the more negative effects it will remove in its turn. Besides that, it could be used when Melee monsters (melee attack attack from the 2nd row), since it consumes little mana.

Reglas del Juego | Ruleset
Mana = 19, Noxious fumes (todos los monstruos están envenenados - pierden 2 vidas en cada ronda) y Healed Out (nadie se puede regenerar).
Mi estrategia en la batalla | My strategy:
La lógica del juego es revisar las reglas y como segundo paso revisar las batallas del adversario. Habiendo realizado esas dos cosas, entonces si elegiremos a nuestro equipo para la batalla. En este caso, descubrí que a mi adversario le gustaba mucho utilizar arqueros con el equipo tierra. Por lo que decidí usar una estrategia anti-veneno que me permitiera mantener con vida a mis monstruos sin importarme mucho el atacar. De hecho solo estuve atacando con una sola flecha a distancia. Esta estrategia incluye usar un invocador que aumente la vida de los monstruos, usar monstruos carroñeros (aumentan una vida cada vez que un monstruo muere) tal como el Gelatinuos Cube.
The logical part of the game is to look at the rules and as a second step to examine the opponent's battles. Having done those two things, we will then choose our team for the battle. In this case, I discovered that my opponent really liked to use archers of the Life team. So I decided to use an anti-poison strategy that would allow me to keep my monsters alive without worrying too much about attacking. In fact I was only attacking with a single ranged arrow. This strategy includes using a summoner that increases the life of the monsters, using scavenger monsters (they increase one life each time a monster dies) such as the Gelatinuos Cube.
Debido al bajo mana de la batalla decidí utilizar a la invocadora Mother Khala nivel 3, la cual proporciona una vida a cada monstruo. Eso permite utilizar monstruos que por el nivel tengan 2 vidas, aumenten a 3 vidas y por ende soportar 2 rondas de veneno. En 1ra. posición coloqué a Lord Arianthus para soportar golpes durante la batalla. En 2da. y 3ra posición al pollito "Furious Chicken" y Armorsmith con la única finalidad de ser alimento para el carroñero "Gelatinous Cube" en la 4ta. posición.
Due to the low mana of the battle I decided to use the summoner Mother Khala level 3 instead of a legendary summoner, which provides one life to each monster. This allows to use monsters that by level have 2 lives, increase to 3 lives and thus support 2 rounds of poison. In 1st position I placed Lord Arianthus to resist attacks during the battle. In 2nd and 3rd position I placed the Furious Chicken and Armorsmith with the only purpose to be food for the scavenger "Gelatinous Cube" in the 4th position.
En la 4ta. posición y fundamental en esta batalla, al cubo carroñero con 12 vidas. La idea es que el cubo vaya aumentando de vidas hasta el final. No es recomendable ponerlo al final de los monstruos, ya que si nuestro adversario utiliza un Sand Worm lo podría matar antes de que se termine la batalla.
In the 4th position and fundamental in this battle, the scavenger cube with 12 lives. The idea is that the cube increases in lives until the end. It is not advisable to put it at the end of the monsters, because if our opponent uses a Sand Worm it could kill him before the end of the battle.
En la 5ta. posición utilicé a Silvershield Bard para proteger a Lord Arianthus del ataque de veneno y otros efectos adversos. La cual hizo muy bien su trabajo para mantener hasta el final a Lord Arianthus. En 6ta. posición utilicé al Halfing Alchemist para reducir a la mitad el ataque de mi adversario en la primera ronda, por si acaso decidiera utilizar algún monstruo con ataque mayor a 3. Pero no, mi adversario utilizó su misma estrategia con arqueros y alta protección con escudos. La finalidad del Halfing Alchemist también era soportar un golpe a distancia en la primera ronda y no lo mataran antes de que pudiera atacar y la otra era ser alimento para el cubo carroñero.
In the 5th position I used Silvershield Bard to protect the Lord Arianthus monster against poison attack and other adverse effects. She did her job very well to keep Lord Arianthus until the end. In 6th position I used the Halfing Alchemist to halve my opponent's attack in the first round, just in case he decided to use some monster with attack higher than 3 in the first position. But he didn't, my opponent used his same strategy with archers and high protection with shields. The Halfing Alchemist's purpose was also to support a ranged attack in the first round and not get killed before he could attack and the other was to be food for the scavenger cube.

Al final, todo resulto como esperado y espero les haya gustado mi estrategia de no pelear, sino soportar los ataques de veneno y de mi adversario.
