The Splinterlands Social Media Challenge is now the most exciting thing about my weekly gaming, and this round I won with an epical scenario that I could not resist sharing. The game was against one dino no less than the fierce and mysterious Tasoshi Drakamoto, a card that I have obtained myself recently through some lucky pulls and a lot of grinding. I was using the same strategy as I did during the match against Mol Molf; my line up against this kind of opponent consisted of strong melee units and positioning, but I had my confidence in the success of my plan, so I went into it with confidence. It was a brilliant payoff.
Drakamoto made use of his quick movements, and fast attacks. It was hard to believe how every step seemed the dancing of a veteran. As I dodged, and countered one after another, the tide turned back in my favor. Complemented with the proper supportive monsters of the Water Splinter, I managed to create an attack rhythm that gradually destroyed the frontline of my opponent. Not only did that battle reward me with a significant increase of rank, but it taught me a better understanding of the value of synergy and timing.
About overall development in the Splinterlands game, I have been climbing gradually through the levels, trying out various summoners, monsters and defining lessons after each defeat. ARCADECOLONY community support and guide to battle has actually helped me form my strategies. I have already begun paying more attention to diversity of decks, particularly of Epic and Legendary cards, and that is now making a tangible difference. Any game is the combination of luck and decision, and this is what makes it so addictive. Beating Drakamoto was merely an achievement that there is so much more to see and master. This is one of the few challenges that would serve me perfect to demonstrate my development, and I am looking forward to another set of fights.
