Strategy is very important in battles, so I attach great importance to strategy. I take into account the ruleset of the battle and review the opponent's last 5 battles well in order to be able to determine a good strategy. If I can set a good strategy before the battle, my chances of winning the battle will be much higher. With my strategy, I take care to both give my team an advantage and the opponent team to have a disadvantage in battles. Today I wanted to share an amazing battle with Magic Reflect, Thorns, Return Fire and Amplify Abilities, I hope you like it.

Counterspell
Briar Patch
Equalizer
Only Fire, Earth, Life, Death an Dragon splinter can be used
Mana Cap 27
- Counterspell Ruleset: All Monsters have the Magic Reflect ability.
- Briar Patch Ruleset: All Monsters have the Thorns ability.
- Equalizer Ruleset: The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.
According to the ruleset of the battle, all Monsters in this battle would have the Magic Reflect Ability and the Thorns Ability, so I chose ILTHAIN as the summoner. ILTHAIN gives the Return Fire Ability and +1 speed to all friendly monsters. So in this battle, all the Monsters on my team would have the Return Fire Ability, Magic Reflect Ability, and Thorns Ability. Whatever monsters the opposing player chose, they would take damage back when they hit the target. I would like to point out that Monsters with the Reflection Shield Ability do not take damage back from them. I also added a Monster with the Amplify Ability to my team and believed that this would give me a better chance of winning the battle. The Amplify Ability increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1. Frankly, I thought that with this strategy I could win the battle even without hitting the enemies, unless, of course, the opposing player had a better or similar strategy.
Magic Reflect Ability : When hit with Magic damage, does reduced Magic damage back to the attacker.
Thorns Ability: When hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker.
- Return Fire Ability : When hit with a Ranged attack, Monsters with Return Fire will return reduced damage back to their attacker.
- Reflection Shield Ability : This Monster doesn't take damage from Blast, Magic Reflect, Thorns, or Return Fire.
- Amplify Ability : Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1.
ILTHAIN
Ilthain gives the Return Fire Ability and +1 speed to all friendly monsters. My Ilthain card is at level 2.
PELACOR CONJURER
Pelacor Conjurer has no attack power but has the Flying Ability from level 1. I put Pelacor Conjurer in first position in my team.
- Flying Ability : Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
VENARI MARKSRAT
Venari Marksrat is a Monster that can attack the target with a Ranged Attack and has the Martyr Ability from level 1. The most important reason I added it to the team in this battle was because it had the Martyr Ability. And when Venari Marksrat died, adjacent Monsters would get +1 to all stats. I put Venari Marksrat in second position in my team.
- Martyr Ability : When this Monster dies, adjacent Monsters get +1 to all stats.
CORSAIR BOSUN
Corsair Bosun is a Monster that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has the Reach Ability and the Reflection Shield Ability from level 1. The most important reason I added Corsair Bosun to the team was because he has the Reflection Shield Ability. I put Corsair Bosun in third position. Corsair Bosun wouldn't be able to attack from third position, but I put him in third position because I thought he would be more effective in the next rounds.
- Reach Ability : Melee attack Monsters with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team.
- Reflection Shield Ability : This Monster doesn't take damage from Blast, Magic Reflect, Thorns, or Return Fire.
VENARI CRYSTALSMITH
Venari Crystalsmith is a Monster that can attack the target with a Ranged Attack and has the Tank Heal Ability from level 1. The main reason I added Venari Crystalsmith to the team was because she has the Tank Heal ability. I put Venari Crystalsmith in fourth position.
- Tank Heal Ability : Restores a portion of the Monster in the first position's health each round.
DAX PARAGON
Dax Paragon is a Monster that can attack the target with a Magic Attack and has the Amplify Ability at level 2. The main reason I added Dax Paragon to the team was because he has the Amplify ability. Back damage would be increased by 1 thanks to the Amplify Ability. I put Dax Paragon in fifth position on the team.
- Amplify Ability : Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1.
VULGUINE
Vulguine is a Monster that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has the Scavenger Ability from level 1. The main reason I added Vulguine to the team was because it has the Scavenger ability. I put Vulguine in last position on the team. Although Vulguine can't attack outside of the first position, I put it in the last position considering that there might be Sneak Monsters on the opposing team because I didn't want Dax Paragon to be the first target of the enemies. Also, Vulguine gains 1 max health each time any monster dies, as it has the Scavenger Ability.
Scavenger Ability : Gains 1 max health each time any monster dies.
I'm not surprised that the opposing team has Ranged Attack Monsters and a Monster with the Amplify Ability because it was wise to use Ranged Attack monsters and a Monster with the Amplify ability in such a battle. The opposing team was much more powerful, but in this battle, the fact that all Monsters on my team had the Return Fire Ability was a huge advantage for my team, but a huge disadvantage for the opposing team.
Although the opposing team's attacks were quite effective in the first round, the health of the monsters on the opposing team's backline was decreasing with the back damage they took.
Corsair Bosun took first position after Venari Marksrat died in the second round. It was a big advantage for my team that Corsair Bosun could attack the target powerfully and not take back damage.
At the beginning of the third round, 5 monsters were alive in the opposing team and 4 monsters in my team. But the monsters on the opposing team didn't have enough health to destroy Corsair Bosun because they would be destroyed by the back damage they took when they hit him.
In the fourth round, 2 more monsters on the opposing team were destroyed by back damage. Only Pelacor Conjurer remained on the opposing team, but he had no attack power. so it wasn't hard to destroy him. The fact that the monsters missed many attacks caused the battle to last longer, but it did not change the result of the battle.
The battle lasted 5 rounds. Even though the opposing team was more powerful, my strategy worked pretty well in this battle and my team was able to win this battle. According to the battle ruleset, all monsters had the Magic Reflect Ability and the Thorns Ability, and both teams had Dax Paragon with the Amplify Ability, which made the battle quite interesting. But it was a huge advantage that all the monsters in my team had the Return Fire Ability, and thus my team won this battle. I recommend you to watch this amazing battle from Battle Link, I hope you like it.
If my Ilthain card was level 3, I could have won this battle much easier because my summoner card is level 2 so I could use my high level monster cards in low level in this battle. I need to upgrade the level of my Ilthain card in order for my team to be more effective in such battles. In the coming days, my first goal will be to upgrade my Ilthain card.

What are your thoughts on the battle and my strategy? I would be glad if you write your thoughts in the comments.
