ABYSSAL ELEMENTAL.
A bipedal figure with numerous beard-like tentacle arms, huge clawed limbs, and water scoops.”
This is already a thing, isn't it? When you encounter it, you first check its SAN value, and if it fails, you're out, right? I understand.
I thought it was a fake, but there was a unit called CTHULHU directly. Did I dream that? 🤣
Last time I picked up WARWALL JUGGERNAUT, and this time it is ABYSSAL ELEMENTAL. He is placed at the very front and while he endures, the unit behind him defeats the enemy. He is what is called a tank unit.
As a condition for a good tank, high HP and Void or Shield ability to increase durability are necessary, but ABYSSAL ELEMENTAL has 5 HP and no Void or Shield.
However, ABYSSAL ELEMENTAL has 5 HP, no Void or Shield, and a very high durability. Why? Because it can be completely revived with the Resurgence ability.
It has the Resurgence ability from the start, which is also excellent, although there is not much it can do since its abilities do not increase until level max.
The Resurgence ability is a new ability from the Conclave Arcana, and it “fully recovers HP and Armor when knocked down, and deals 1 damage to all units.
Only ABYSSAL ELEMENTAL and ORIDUM GRAYBROW have this ability.
ORIDUM GRAYBROW is also very strong. I had eliminated this unit from my purchase plan, but I also have Thorns and it is strong. I want to buy it, but it's a legend and the price is too expensive.
Here's what the battle actually looks like.
I see that the HP is up to 11 because of the Equalizer rule. That's great because this rule makes it even more durable.
I thought it wouldn't be so easy to beat them with such high HP, but I couldn't last a turn because of their high attack power. 🤣
But it's okay now that it's back. 😃
Painforge is activated here as it is 1 damage to the whole. It's a long range attack so I'm afraid of missing but I'm happy to see the damage increase!
Now my ally does 2+2+3+3+3+3+2+2 for 17 damage! That's great! But my opponent is 3+3+5+3+3+3+4 for 21 damage! 🤣
If we consider only the total damage in one turn, we are at a disadvantage, but thanks to Resurgence, it is as if we have one unit more, and since AXEMASTER has Double Strike, we have the advantage in both overall HP and number of attacks.
It is especially very, very advantageous to have one more unit. This is what it looks like in round 4. The advantage is overwhelming at this point.
And so ABYSSAL ELEMENTAL is an excellent tank. It's too useful because what it can do is very versatile.
- Magic attack so it can't be evaded.
- It has Armor, so it can be used in Heavy Metal rules.
- It can be summoned at a cost of 6, while the mana cost of tank units has been going up recently.
- Resurgence ability revives it, so it has the durability of 2 units!
It would be a waste not to use such a useful tank! And the only way to use it is to put it at the very front.
The other byproduct of Resurgence is 1 damage to the whole unit, but it works too well with the new Painforge ability, so combos using it will be popular. 😏

ABYSSAL ELEMENTAL って。

これはもうアレですね。出会ったらまずSAN値チェックして失敗したらアウトなやつですね。わかります。
とか思ったけど直接 CTHULHU ってユニットがいたので偽物ですね。夢でも見たんですかね？ 🤣
前回は WARWALL JUGGERNAUT をピックアップしましたが、今回は ABYSSAL ELEMENTAL です。彼は一番前に置いて耐えている間に後ろのユニットが敵を倒す。いわゆるタンクユニットってやつです。
優秀なタンクの条件として 高いHPや、耐久力を上げるための Void や Shield アビリティが必要なのですが、 ABYSSAL ELEMENTAL はHPも5、Void も Shieldも無し。
しかし、耐久度は非常に高いのですよ？なぜかって？ Resurgence アビリティで完全復活が可能だからですね。
レベルMAXまでアビリティが増えないのでやれることは少ないのですが、最初から Resurgence アビリティがあるのも優秀。耐久力マシマシです。
このResurgence アビリティは コンクラーベ アルカナ からの新アビリティで、「倒されたときにHPとArmorが完全回復してすべてのユニットに1ダメージを与える」というものです。
所持しているユニットは ABYSSAL ELEMENTAL と ORIDUM GRAYBROW しか持っていません。
ORIDUM GRAYBROW も強いな。購入予定からは除外してたけど、 Thorns も持ってるし強いな。欲しいけど、やっぱりレジェンドだしお値段がね。
実際にバトルを見てみるとこんな感じ。
Equalizer ルールなのでHPが11まで上がってるね。このルールだとさらに耐久度が上がるので素晴らしいね。
これだけHPが高ければ簡単にやら倒れなさそうって思ったけど、 相手の攻撃力が高いから1ターン持ちませんでした。🤣
でも復活したので大丈夫です。😃
全体に1ダメージなので、ここで Painforge が発動しています。遠距離攻撃なのでミスが怖いですがダメージアップはうれしいね！
これで味方の与えるダメージは 2＋2＋３＋３＋３＋２＋２ の17ダメージ！凄いね！でも、相手は 3＋3＋5＋3＋3＋4 で21ダメージ！？🤣
1ターンの合計ダメージだけで考えたら不利なんですけど、 Resurgence のおかげで1ユニット多いようなもんですし、AXEMASTER がDouble Strike を持っているので全体HP、攻撃回数共にこちらが有利です。
特にユニット数が1体分多いというのはとてもとても有利。ラウンド4にはこんな感じです。ここまでくると圧倒的有利。
といった感じで ABYSSAL ELEMENTAL はタンクとして優秀ですね。出来ることが非常に汎用的なので便利すぎるんですよね。
- 魔法攻撃なので回避されない。
- Armorも持っているので Heavy Metal ルールでも使用できる。
- 最近タンク系ユニットのマナコストが上がっている中、コスト6で召喚できる。
- Resurgence アビリティで復活するので2ユニット分の耐久力！？
こんな便利なタンク、使わないなんてもったいない！使い方も一番前に置くだけだしね。
あとは Resurgence の副産物として、全体に1ダメージがあるけど、新アビリティの Painforge との相性が良すぎるのでこれを使ったコンボが流行りそうです。😏
