Introduction
Hi! @saydie here playing Splinterlands everyday.
This is Exploring the Chaos where I take a look on Chaos Legion cards including thier subsets such as Riftwatchers and the Reward cards, as they brought new abilities and strategies that changes how the game was played.
Last time, I have talked about the old card rewards that we usually get on our daily and season chest and how they were used as well as their importance to the meta. Now, I will be reviewing the new Soulbound rewards card which replaces them, offering new possibilities to the game and for this post, I will be taking a look at the Dragon Soulbound Rewards.

Dragon SoulBound Rewards in Action
Battle 1: Helios Matriarch

![]() Fire & Regret | All Monsters have the ![]() |
This battle comes with 18 mana cap and with Fire & Regret for the rule set that inflicts Return Fire damage to range opponents so it all ends up on choosing either magic or melee for the main attacker but since I use Helios Martriarch for my summoner, it has allowed me to be able to use Isgald Vorst which was a Gladius card and use Baakjira for my main tank to counter against magic. With each kill of Isgald Vorst, it gains +1 to all stats due to its Bloodlust ability.
Battle 2: Kra'ar Xoc

![]() Weak Magic | Magic attacks hit Armor before reducing Health. |
![]() Stampede | The ![]() |
For the 2nd battle, we have a 30 mana cap match with Weak Magic and Stampede and with this, I have used Kra'ar Xoc as a fill- in monster with my remaining mana and as monsters got defeated, it continually increases its health with the help of Scavenger ability and becomes another good secondary tank even with only 1 mana which at the end of the battle has a total of 8 health.
Battle 3: Clockwork Aide
Conditions | Description |
---|---|
![]() Gold League Modern Format | 55 Mana Cap Available Elements: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Link: https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_767ec5c436846152cf7f7adccece0193&ref=bltzr-wizard-726 |
![]() Target Practice | All Ranged and Magic attack Monsters have the ![]() |
For the final battle, there is a 55 mana cap with Target Practice rule set which magic and range monsters attack the nearest non- melee monster to the tank so I placed the incredibly tanky Baakjira on the 3rd spot for it to be the target of attacks and because it was next to Berix Snakeye, it gains 2 range attack while at the same time also gets 2 melee attack from Kulu Mastermind with the use of Weapons Training ability.
Final Thoughts
The New Dragon Soulbound Reward cards offers new sets of possibilities for the Dragon element with the addition of new abilities they posses adding to the meta as well as the flexibility they poses, being able to be used together with any element. They might have the fewest number of this card within this set but as they offer the ability to use Neutral together with any other element, this has become more flexible than the rest of the element on the strategies that it can play. The most notable card within this set for me was Helios Matriarch even among all the soulbound summoners because of the same reason that it can summon any element together with the dragon element but the other reason was it also has the +1 speed bonus and we know how great having additional speed is and can be the key for winning the battle as monsters were able to attack faster.
