Introduction
Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
This will be my first entry for this weeks Battle Mage Secrets with the featBoldured ruleset Keep Your Distance. This is a ruleset were all Units with melee attacks may not be used in battle.
The Battle that I will show will be from @bltzr-wizard-726 which is the scholar account I'm playing from Balthazar Guild in partnership with Side Door Ventures who managed to reached the Champion league last season.

But before I reveal the battle, let us learn more about this ruleset.

This battle comes with a 60 mana cap where the active rulesets were Back to Basics, Aim True and the featured ruleset for this week which was Keep Your Distance. With this in consideration, my lineup was consist of:
Summoner: Quix the Devious - This summoner the speed and range damage of all opponent monsters by -1 and allows the use of dragon units together with any of the available elements.
- 1st Position: Baakjira - Was a no- damage unit which also loses its ability due to back to basics but it has a huge amount of health, allowing it to tank damage for only 6 mana.
2nd Position: Void Dragon - A 5- mana magic unit which poses fast speed and some decent health.
3rd Position: Djinn Oshannus - As fast as Void Dragon but got more health and magic damage.
4th Position: Chaos Dragon - A magic unit that cost the most mana in the lineup, eating 14 mana but this inflicts 4 magic damage and has 4 armor which can protect it on range attacks.
5th Position: Magi of Chaos - This 6- mana magic unit also has 4 magic damage for only 6 mana cost.
6th Position: Nerrissa Tridawn - This unit originally has no abilities so the ruleset does not really affect this card but it compensates its lack of abilities with its damage as it can deal 5 magic damage on its target.
Revealing the Battle

Round 1:

6-7/17 Djinn Oshannus and Void Dragon inflicts 5 damage to Infernal Firestorm.
8/17 Djinn Inferni deals 5 damage to my Magi of Chaos.
9/17 Infernal Firestorm deals 2 damage to Baakjira.
10/17 Lava Launcher removes the armor of Chaos Dragon
11/17 Tinderlock deals 2 damage to VOid Dragon.
12/17 Chaos Dragon inflicts 4 damage to Infernal Firestorm.
13/17 The opponent Magi of Chaos deals 4 damage to Chaos Dragon.
14-15/17 Nerissa Tridawn defeats Infernal Firestorm.
16/17 Molten Ash Golem deals 2 damage to Djinn Oshannus.
9/17 My Magi of Chaos inflicts 4 damage to the opponent Magi of Chaos.
Round 2:

1-2/11 Djinn Oshannus defeats Magi of Chaos.
3/11 Void Dragon inflicts 2 damage to Molten Ash Golem.
4-5/11 Djinn Inferni deals 5 damage to Nerissa Tridawn followed by another 4 damage by Lava Launcher.
6/11 Tinderlock deals 2 damage to Chaos Dragon.
7-9/11 Chaos Dragon and Nerissa Tridawn defeats Molten Ash Golem.
10-11/11 Magi of Chaos defeats Djinn Inferni.
Round 3 and 4:

1-2/7 Djinn Oshannus and Void Dragon inflicts 5 damage to Lava Launcher.
3-4/7 Tinderlock defeats Magi of Chaos.
5-6/7 Chaos Dragon defeats Lava Launcher.
7/7 Nerissa Tridawn inflicts 5 damage to TInderlock.

With Tinderlock the only monster that was left on the opponent side which also loses its ability to attack due to Back to Basic ruleset, then attack made by Void Dragon was more than enough to defeat it, ending the battle with my victory.
Battle Recap
Here is a replay of the battle which at you can watch at Splinterlands.
Did My Strategy Work?
With melee monsters unable to be used in this battle due to the Keep Your Distance ruleset and at the same time losing all the abilities due to Back to Basic, the most optimal choice was just to use magic units since regardless of its speed, its attack will always hit a monster that do not have Phase.
That was it for this post. Thank you and see you at the next one.
