Introduction
Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
This will be my first entry for this week's Battle Mage Secrets with the featured ruleset Odd Ones Out. This is a ruleset where only units with odd mana costs may be used in battles.
The second battle that I will show to you for this week was once again coming from @crimepoet which is an alternate account that I am using and was able to finish last season in Diamond 1 of the modern league.

But before I reveal my battle, let us learn more about this ruleset.

There are no special tricks for this ruleset, but having an idea of mana points of a few monsters helps in predicting what your opponent can and cannot use. But when selecting a team, there will be times that due to monsters having odd mana cost the monsters we can place in the monster slots became limited and on times like this 1- mana cards could be serve to fill this empty slots.

This battle comes with a 55 mana cap where the active rulesets are Healed Out, Blood and Sunder and the featured ruleset for this week which was Odd Ones Out. With this in consideration, my lineup was consist of:
Summoner: Astral Entity - A Death Summoner reduces the armor of all opponent units by -2 as well as give all ally units the Dodge ability which increases the evasion chance by 25% as well as it can use Resurrect to revive an ally monster that was defeated once.
1st Position: Coeurl Lurker - A 11- mana melee unit which have the Taunt ability, forcing all abled monsters to attack this card together with Dodge and Phase that allows it to evade magic attacks.
2nd Position: Djinn Muirat - An 9- mana magic unit has the Void armor that makes it impenetrable by magic attacks as long as it has armor and Magic Reflect which allows it to return magic damage towards the attacker. It also has Knockout that inflicts twice the damage on monsters that were stunned and Giant Killer which allows it to deal twice the damage on monsters with 10 or more mana.
3th Position: Silen Sha-vi - a 5-mana melee unit which uses Sneak to attack the backline units of the opponent with Pierce to make its attack to penetrate the armor as well as Cripple to reduce the health of the target.
4th Position: Queen of Crows- A 9- mana rage unit have the Headwinds which reduces the range damage of all opponent units as well as Slow to reduce their speed. It also has Close Range which allows it to attack at the first position.
5th Position: Lira the Dark- A 7- mana range unit which has the Opportunity that allows it to attack the opponent with the least health and it can remove the Flying on monsters with Snare it also has Swiftness which increases the speed of ally units by +1.
6th Position: Soul Strangler- a 3- mana range unit that can afflict the target with Poison.

Battle Recap
Here is a replay of the battle which at you can watch at Splinterlands.
Did My Strategy Work?
On this battle, there was really no trick that I used in order to win the battle on the Odd Ones Out Rule set. I just happen to have more speed that allows me to evade some of their attacks that also allows me to attack the opponent first.
That was it for this post. Thank you and see you at the next one.
