What’s new?
So recently, Splinterlands has some changes with the Season reward and the daily quest rewards.
Season Rewards
Winning ranked battles will earn you Season Points (SP), the more you win games, the more you gain Season points, and the number of Season chest reward is now based on the total accumulated Season points. Example you earn 11,711,787 SP you can earn yourself total of 150 Season Chest!
Win ranked battles to earn Season Points. More Season Points means more reward chests at the end of the season. The level of your chests is based on your highest league during the previous season.
Daily Quest
Since the recent Splinterlands Update, Daily Quest is now called Daily Focus. Every 24 Hours, you will be given random focused element. Every Ranked battle win, give you *Focus points (FP), the more FP gained the more chest you earn for the day.
NOTE: Chest rewards are based on your Rank and League, so look out for that too.
INSIGHT
I like the new reward setup, what I do now is rent the required Focus Element, and play it all through the day until I deplete my ECR (Energy Capture Rate). Now daily renting makes more sense than before, Now I dont have to rent and spend so much with longer period of rent.
Does anyone care with there Energy Capture Rate? I don’t anymore $LOLZ.

Battle Share: Focused Element
Death
I love it when I randomly get this element, gives me more type of offense/defense to other decks. This time I were able to rent out Magi Necrosi, Owster Rotwell, Undead Priest, Zintar Montalis, Corpse Fiend. These are the cards that plays important role during my 24 hr Focus Element Quest.
How?
Usually When when Mana pool is low between 12-18, I anticipate that the challenger would use more of Melee damage, usually Fire element or Water element. If this happens, I go for:
Summoner: Zintar Mortalis (Lvl 4), Cursed Windeku (first position), Undead Priest (second position), Silent Shi-va (back end), if I still have room I would add up Corpse fiend as a Meat Shield.
If Mana pool 25 and up, I usually expect challenger to use Magic damage, so I would use against them.
Summoner: Owster Rotwell, Cursed Windeku, Riftwing, Undead Priest, and other Sneak attack Monster, and put on the last position Magi Necrosi.
Riftwing x Magi Necrosi
I am loving both Riftwing and Magi Necros! I like playing around with the positioning of this two cards.
Riftwing
Ability:
Flying: Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Range attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
Scavenger: Gains 1 max health each time any monster dies.
Backfire: If an enemy misses this Monster with an attack, the attacker takes 2 damage.
Lore: Riftwing
The sky over the battlefield was suddenly filled with an onslaught of arrows. Armored archers fired all at once, aiming for the creatures in the sky. The Riftwings of the Chaos Legion.
But as the arrows neared their targets, the Riftwings flapped their wings rapidly. A surge of wind kicked up, sending the arrows wide. Several of the weapons spun out of control, impaling the archers on the ground. Killed by their own attacks.
The screams began as the Riftwings dove down, following the path of the arrows. Descending on the corpses, it was a feast of blood and flesh.
Magi Necrosi
Ability:
Snipe: Target enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position.
Camouflage: This Monster cannot targeted for attacks unless it’s in the first position.
Addditional ability at Level 4: Opress: Does double damage when attacking an enemy that has no attacks.
Lore: Magi Necrosi
In desperation, the acolytes of Azdurj sought forbidden tomes, long sealed beneath their tower. By the candlelight of hidden recesses within their tower's crypt, the first Necrosi were born. Forged to battle the spawn of Chaos, these bounty hunters are eager to take up the fight.
