I'm here today to share with you my newest program: a bot that can generate income by buying underpriced cards and reselling them for the more "correct" price. Here is the link to the GitHub of the project.
I don't want to get in too much detail, as everything is neatly explained in the main page of the project. The gist of it is: you set how much money the bot can spend (or rather, how much of your available money the bot should leave alone), you leave it running and the bot will constantly look through the card offers for oportunities to make a profit; and if it finds one such offer, it automatically buys it and posts it for sale. Simple, right?
A word about botting. As a lot of people here, I began my Splinterlands journey without any software assistance. At the beginning, I quickly started coming up with ideas to look (manually) for underpriced cards, and try and make a profit. And it was going really nice! But then everything changed... when the botting nation attacked! Soon, I found myself unable to compete with bots, who were of course infinitely faster than me, and got the best offers constantly. So what could I do? I decided to try to make a bot myself.
Eventually I managed to make a working bot. I think botting can be detrimental to a game, but since there are already bots going around, I decided to also share it, to even the playing field. Now everyone can use this bot. I had the help of a few players, but it's still very fresh, so please feel free to ask whatever questions you may have! No quiero entrar en mucho detalle, ya que todo está muy cuidadosamente explicado en la página principal del proyecto. La idea es la siguiente: tú defines cuánta plata puede usar el bot (en realidad, cuánta de la plata disponible el bot no debería usar), lo dejas corriendo y el bot estará constantemente revisando las publicaciones de cartas, buscando oportunidades para generar ganancia; y si encuentra una publicación conveniente, automáticamente la compra y la publica a la venta. Simple, verdad?
Un comentario sobre el uso de bots. Como mucha gente aquí, comencé mi viaje en Splinterlands sin asistencia digital. Al principio, rápidamente empecé a tener ideas para encontrar (manualmente) cartas publicadas a precio bajo, e intentar generar una ganancia. Y estaba yendo muy bien! Pero luego todo cambió... cuando la nación de los bots atacó! Pronto me encontré completamente derrotado por los bots, que eran infinitamente más rápidos que yo, y siempre conseguían las mejores ofertas. Entonces, qué podía hacer? Decidí hacer un bot yo mismo.
Eventualmente logré desarrollar un bot funcional. Creo que el uso de bots puede ser dañino para un juego, pero dado que ya hay bastantes bots en uso, decidí además compartirlo, para igualar las condiciones. Ahora todos pueden usar este bot. Tuve la ayuda de algunos jugadores, pero el proyecto aún está comenzando, así que por favor hazme todas las preguntas que tengas!
