Hey everyone! I'm back with another weekly battle. This week, we'll be taking a look at Chaos Knight from the Life Splinter.
If you're not familiar with the challenge, you can check out all the details HERE.
Let's go check out some lore!

Lore
Chaos Knights are most often found at the front line of the Chaos Legion's invading forces, although they are sometimes enlisted to defend garrisons, leadership, and other high-value assets. They are heavily armored and wield massive battle axes that are able to cut down even the mightiest of foes.

This battle is going to be all about Armor, Speed, and Sniping. I want as much Speed as possible to get my attacks out first (and hopefully take out some of their backline) and I want the Armor to help keep me in the fight once they start getting some attacks off.
The Blast ability works great when paired with some Snipe monsters because, unless your opponent has an all melee lineup, it will hit somewhere in their backline and do damage to three monsters instead of two if you would've instead focused on their tank.
It'd also be nice to get some repair in there to help keep my Armor up.

Opponent

I see they're using melee quite a bit more than everything else, so I'm going to try and stick with my "as much armor as possible plan."
Their second battle is a little concerning. Shieldbearer with two healers and two repair monsters is a pretty nasty combination. I feel sorry for whoever had to play against that lineup.

Lineup

General Sloan is leading the charge. Why? Two reasons. First, because level 4. My opponent is running some pretty good lineups and their cards are leveled a bit as well, so whether or not I get it, I'm hoping for a bit of card advantage. Second, that +1 for Ranged attacks is going to make those snipers hit even harder.

Chaos Knight Soak it up, baby. Soak it up.
Adelade Brightwing I really like this card because it allows me to keep a Repair monster in my lineup without giving up an attacker (looking at you Scavo Hireling). She's a slow as can be but it's all good because she's still gonna do the job.
Air Elemental I actually meant to put this card last but didn't realize it until after I submitted my battle. Don't you hate that? I do it most often with Furious Chicken during the No Neutrals Daily Quests.
Portal Spinner This card has grown on me a lot (tbh all the Scattershot cards have). It took me a little while but I finally found a good use for them. Ignoring Taunt can be a pretty sneaky play to help take out any backline healers that might be giving you a hard time (gg Earth Magic) and it works even better when paired with the Blast ability!
Centaur Sniper #1 with a little more Speed and a little less Health.
Mantoid Sniper #2 with a little less Speed and little more Health.

Thoughts
Remember all that Armor and Speed I was babbling on about? Sometimes things happen and your lineup changes on the fly. Fortunately for me, this still worked out pretty well. I think if they'd have went with that Shieldbearer lineup they would've had me, but it's hard to say.
