In this week's Community Engagement Challenge, I will be talking about my favourite card combo and the reasons why they perform the best in certain battle conditions. I'll also talk about a battle where this combo helped me win. So, stay tuned to the blog, you will enjoy it!
My favourite card combo!
This is my current favourite card combo. Looking at their abilities, you might think that Janni should be placed first in the lineup and Pallus second because Janni has the Flank ability, according to which if this card is placed in the first position, then the card in the second position gains reach ability. But Pallus has its own reach ability, which makes it capable of performing from the second position even without any additional support. And since Janni's another ability Inspire gives +1 melee power to melee attackers and this card is also a good magic attacker in itself, so instead of placing it in the first position, I place it in the third or fourth position, which eliminates the risk of it being on the frontline and the melee attackers are able to attack more with their increased powers.
🔥 The Battle!
You can see that in this battle, I have added a melee card at 1 mana cost in the first place, which has very good stats of its own and I find this card to be the best for maintaining attacking positive along with defending in the first place. After this comes my favorite combo, Pallus in second place and Janani in third place, strongly backing both the frontline melee attackers. And currently, the magic of this pair has worked, I mean, Janni has given +1 melee powers to both the cards. Now, after this, you will see a great performance of these cards in this battle.
This is the flash of Pallus' attack in the first round, along with all the other cards. Its own 3 melee attack power, along with the +1 melee power given by Janni, now makes its total attack power 4 melee, the impact of which causes a lot of damage to the enemy. However, all the other cards in the team are also powerful and their attacks have also done a lot of damage to the enemy and will continue to do so, but with +1 melee attack power and its True Strike and Flying ability, this card is also in a deadly form.
Above are the attacks performed by my favorite combo and I will say again that you cannot win the entire battle by relying on a particular combo because all the other cards in the team also have their own role but it is also true that some cards perform better than their potential with their best partner and they become an important pair in the team. I could have given a place to one or two more melee cards in this team but I find this balance of melee and magic more appropriate because melee attacks have some basic limits, and magic attacks can damage the enemy even by going beyond those limits, which makes your team strong as well as smart.
And one more thing, these combos also do not work in every battle condition, so do not forget to practice as much as possible with all your favourite combos. 🔥
