Hey Splinterheads — want DEC fast and without drama? I got you. DEC is the in-game token used for lots of Splinterlands stuff. Here’s three simple ways to get DEC and how to bring it into the game.
Quick TL;DR
- Fastest: Buy directly inside Splinterlands with fiat or crypto.
- Crypto route: Buy DEC on PancakeSwap / Uniswap (BSC or ETH) using MetaMask, then transfer.
- Hive route: Buy DEC on Hive-Engine (use SWAP.HIVE), then transfer into game.
Option A — Easiest: Buy DEC right from the Splinterlands site
- Log into splinterlands.com.
- Click your DEC balance (top-right) → click the + icon.
- Choose Fiat to buy with card via the integrated provider (RAMP) or choose Crypto to pay with a wallet. Follow the on-screen steps and confirm. Done — the purchased DEC will be delivered to the address/wallet you used.
Why this is great: quickest, designed for new players, no extra DEX drama.
Option B — Crypto DEX (PancakeSwap / Uniswap)
Good if you already use MetaMask or want potentially cheaper prices.
- Add BSC (Binance Smart Chain) or Ethereum to MetaMask (BSC is cheaper for fees).
- Add the DEC token contract to your wallet (double-check the official contract address — don’t trust random links).
- Send BNB (for BSC) or ETH to your MetaMask.
- Open PancakeSwap (BSC) or Uniswap (ETH), select the DEC token, swap your BNB/ETH for DEC, and confirm the transaction in MetaMask.
Heads-up: gas/fees and slippage matter. Use small test amounts first.
Option C — Hive / Hive-Engine (for Hive users)
If you’re already on Hive this is common:
- Deposit HIVE to Hive-Engine (it becomes SWAP.HIVE).
- On Hive-Engine’s Market, choose DEC and buy with SWAP.HIVE using the DEX interface.
- After purchase, you can Transfer DEC into the game from the DEC dashboard on Splinterlands.
How to transfer DEC into Splinterlands (the final step)
- In-game, click your DEC balance → open the DEC dashboard.
- Choose Transfer and set FROM (Hive-Engine / BSC / ETH) and TO (in-game).
- Confirm the blockchain signature (Keychain, MetaMask, or whatever wallet you used). Wait for confirmation — you’ll see a banner when tokens land in-game.

- Always verify token contract addresses from official Splinterlands docs or CoinGecko. Don’t paste random contracts.
- Start with a tiny test swap first.
