My review of the battlefield ruleset highlight the "Holy Protection" ruleset on the battlefield. As you check the battles below you will notice that
"All monsters gain the Divine Shield ability which reduces the damage of the first attack received to 0."
The various ruleset create situation where Splinters build special strategies to defend their line then deploy offensive actions.
