A bit late, as always π, for today's event the chosen rule was Armored Up! This simple rule protects all cards against physical attacks, the match was for the gold league and I used the deaht element.

π ARMORED UP π
Rule | Description |
---|---|
ARMORED UP | All monsters get a +2 armor buff at the beginning of the game. |
Armored UP is an interesting rule, making even the most fragile cards into a good physical blocker, if the unit does not have the Piercing skill will be required at least two physical hits to knock down any card in the game.
In most games with this rule, players tend to use magic attacks to try to get around this gain of armor, this is a good strategy, but nowadays, there are many cards to protect yourself from this type of attack, making you think twice before making a team focused on this type of damage, a good example is the Legionnaire Alvar card that can block even magic damage with your armor thanks to the void armor ability.
There are some interesting abilities to face opponents in matches with this rule I will list some below.
Abilities | Nome | Description |
---|---|---|
![]() | Piercing | With this ability, all damage that exceeds the shield goes straight to the opponent's HP, without suffering from those 10 ignored damage for 1 Armor π |
![]() | Blast | This is an excellent ability in almost every rule, here it would be no different with area damage you can take the armor off the cards next to the target with ease, especially if the damage is 4 or +. |
![]() | Shatter | A somewhat curious ability, it looks excellent on cards that use magic to attack, because it would take HP and then cleanse the target's armor, with physical attacks it first deals damage to the armor and then removes all the armor that remains. |
![]() | Void Armor | As many people will use magic damage in matches with the Armored Up rule, this skill will be your best friend, as the magic damage will not pass through the armor, being able to block any kind of damage, even better if you have someone in the group with the repair skill. |
![]() | Repair | The biggest problem with this ability is not having a target to use, something that is unlikely to happen in matches with the Armored UP rule. |
![]() | Cripple | One of the most underrated skills in the game, but it is very interesting here, because even if the damage is absorbed by the armor, the HPMax reduction will happen. |

βοΈ My Team βοΈ

Card | LineUP |
---|---|
![]() | Summoner : Standard summoner of the death element, I chose it, because I don't use the fire element and my earth deck is focused on magic damage π , but its HP debuff will be interesting. |
![]() | Tank : One of the best tanks in the game, with only 6 mana it has 10 HP and 3 attack, and still has heal and thorns. |
![]() | Off-Tank: The possibility of the opponent having a lot of melee cards in the match was great, his debuff from this type of damage will be awesome, plus I will have another wall in case my main tank gets knocked out. |
![]() | DPS: A simple card to strongly attack the opponent's backline, it also has Cripple, something very useful against units with armor. |
![]() | DPS : Strong damage is what this card is all about π. |
![]() | DPS: One of the best Mana/Damage in the game, costing only 3 mana and hits with 3 damage, still uses ranged attacks to easily fit into a lineup. |
![]() | Suport: Excellent card when you know you won't have magic damage in play, in this position it will protect my backline and still counterattack with thorns. |

π€The Battle π€
Analyzing the match: My opponent came up with an excellent summoner for this rule, practically neutralizing all my cards with plenty of armor like the Flying Skull and Harklaw, because it only takes one hit to turn the armor into dust.
Round 1 - The match starts very busy, my damage concentrated in the first position worked and in the beginning of the round I manage to knock out the opponent's tank, my skull lost 9 armor with only 1 hit from the vanari scout.
Round 2 - It starts with Silent Sha-vi knocking out Venari Seedsmith, but nothing else interesting happened here, by some miracle my tank and my flying skull are still alive.
Round 3 - Early on I manage to knock out a dangerous threat from the opposing team, now I feel I have a good advantage in the match.
Round 4 - Silente Sha-vi takes Venari Scout out of the game and soon after Soul Strangler finishes Barking Spider, victory is very close.
Round 5 - The opponent's last unit cannot attack from the first position, it was only a matter of time before the game was over.

π Conclusion π
Armored UP is a very nice rule where you can easily protect your most fragile cards with this excellent armor bonus, but with this bonus the option to use magic attacks is very evident and protecting yourself from this type of attack is very important, in this match I did not need to worry about this, because magic damage was not allowed π.
