¡Hola, gente de internet! Espero que estén bien. Hoy ordenando mi cuarto y deshaciendome de cosas que no necesitaba, me encontré con una parte de mi adolescencia, sí, como lo oyen. Metida en una caja estaba mi colección de One Direction (no al completo porque mi amiga @iuliapetit2711 tiene mis discos, una revista de edición especial y un libro que le presté jeje, sin embargo me hizo el favorsote de enviarme fotos de la revista y el libro para que yo se los mostra hoy.)
Hello, internet people! I hope you're ok. Today tidying up my room and getting rid of things I didn't need, I came across a part of my teenage years, yes, as you hear it. Tucked in a box was my One Direction collection (not all of it because my friend @iuliapetit2711 has my albums, a special edition magazine and a book I lent her hehe, however she did me the favor of sending me pictures of the magazine and the book so I could show them to you today).
Y es que sí, eso pretendo con este post, eseñarles mi colección de One Direction, la boy band que marcó mi adolescencia, así que pónganse cómodos y empecemos.
And yes, that's my intention with this post, to show you my collection of One Direction, the boy band that marked my adolescence, so make yourselves comfortable and let's start.
Estas son las fotos que mi linda amiga hizo el favor de enviarme. Las fotos corresponden a un libro escrito por Sarah Oliver (una fan de One Direction) que recopiló todas las historias de otras fans acerca de como conocieron en persona a los chicos, además el libro contiene diversas anécdotas de ellos, curiosidades y fotos. La revista es una edición especial de Bravísimo única y exclusivamente de One Direction.
These are the pictures that my nice friend did me the favor of sending me. The photos correspond to a book written by Sarah Oliver (a One Direction fan) who compiled all the stories from other fans about how they met the boys in person, the book also contains various anecdotes of the boys, curiosities and photos. The magazine is a special edition of Bravísimo exclusively about One Direction.
La revista tiene una anécdota graciosa y es que, al momento que salió, yo estaba en una reunión del club de fans de los chicos, y mis amigas y yo ya nos encontrábamos dentro del parque dónde se reúnen todos los fans clubs de todos los artistas (en mi ciudad) entonces otras miembros venían llegando con las revistas en las manos y cuando preguntamos donde la habían comprado, nos dijeron que se acabaron. Aún así mis amigas y yo salimos del parque (aún no era la hora de la reunión) y empezamos a preguntar en los kioskos cercanos pero ninguna la tenía.
The magazine has a funny anecdote and it's that,at the time it went on sale, I was in a meeting of the boys' fan club and my friends and I were already inside the park where all the fan clubs of all the artists meet (in my city) then other members were arriving with the magazines in their hands, and when we asked where they had bought it, they told us that they were out of them. Even so, my friends and I left the park (it was not yet time for the meeting) and started to ask in the nearby kiosks and none of them had it.
Entonces llamamos a mi hermana (que trabajaba en un centro comercial) para decirle que fuera a los kioskos que tenía cerca y preguntara si tenían las revistas, como le quedaba cerca, ella fue enseguida y habían casualmente 3 de un lote completo (nosotras eramos tres). Le dijimos a mi hermana que comprara esas tres y que mis amigas les pagaban las suyas cuando ella y mi papá fueran al parque por nosotras, así que mi hermana eso hizo y fue la única manera de obtener estas revistas porque estuve luego preguntando por ellas y nadie más las tuvo.
So we called my sister (who worked in a shopping mall) to tell her to go to the kiosks nearby to her, and ask if they had the magazines, as it was close by, she went right away and there happened to be 3 of a whole lot (and we were three girls). We told my sister to buy those three and my friends would pay for theirs when she and my dad went to the park for us, so my sister did that and it was the only way to get those magazines because I was later asking for them and no one else had them.
Así es como guardé todas mis cosas. Hace unos 8 años más o menos, compré en un centro comercial, un post muy grande de One Direction y me lo dieron envuelto en esta gran bolsa de plástico, yo para proteger mi colección lo mejor posible, metí todo dentro de la bolsa. No todo está en perfecto estado pero de eso hablaremos después. ¡Vamos con el unboxing!
This is how I stored all my stuff. About 8 years ago or so, I bought in a mall, a very big One Direction post and they gave it to me wrapped in this big plastic bag, I to protect my collection as best as possible, I put everything inside the bag. Not everything is in perfect condition but we'll talk about that later, let's go with the unboxing!
Todas estas son las revistas que compré en las que los chicos eran portada. Las iba comprando fuera de mi escuela cada mes.
These are all the magazines I bought where the boys were on the cover. I was buying them outside my school every month.
Y estas son revistas que si bien no tenían a los chicos de portada, sí que tenían alguna sección de ellos y posters. Además también una de ellas traía un artículo de Litle Mix (mi grupo femenino preferido)así que me emocionó aún más comprarla.
And these are magazines that although they didn't have the boys on the cover, they did have a section of them and posters. One of them also had an article about Litle Mix (my favourite girl group) so I was even more excited to buy it.
Estas otras revistas, las compré por tener a uno de los integrantes de One Direction, además, una de ellas trajo una entrevista a Il Volo así que era un premio doble jaja.
These other magazines, I bought them for having one of the members of One Direction, plus, one of them had an interview with Il Volo so it was a double prize haha.
Estos son mis posters, algunos están maltratados ya que tapicé mi habitación con estos y cuando decidí despegarlos, algunos se rompieron o se maltrataron de alguna forma. Como pude los reparé y ahora los mantengo guardados en la bolsa con las demás cosas.
These are my posters, some are battered since I covered my room with them and when I decided to take them down, some of them were broken or damaged in some way. As I could I repaired them and now I keep them stored in the bag with the other things.
Y esta es mi colección casi completa. Tuve que subirme a una silla para poder hacer las fotos ya que abarcaba casi todo el piso de la sala.
And this is my almost complete collection. I had to climb on a chair to be able to take the photos as it covered almost the entire floor of the room.
También estuve inscrita en el club de fans oficial de One Direction en Venezuela. La primera foto es una pancarta que hice para la reunión del cumpleaños de Niall Horan, las siguientes dos fotos son de mi credencial, me gusta mucho porque es muy bonita. Las siguientes fotos son de una reunión del club de fans, fue el día del cumpleaños de Liam Payne número 20. Fue un día muy divertido ya que hicimos varios juegos y trivias.
I was also registered in the official One Direction fan club in Venezuela. The first picture is a banner I made for Niall Horan's birthday meeting, the next two pictures are of my credential, I like it very much because it's very nice. The next two pictures are from a fan club meeting, it was Liam Payne's 20th birthday. It was a very funny day because we did some games and trivia.
