99% of football players don't get to become legends, some aren't even able to stay in the league longer than a year or two. Some guys float around, practice squad to practice squad for a decade or more. There's all different types of players.
Former Titans' defensive back Joshua Kalu doesn't appear to be on his way to the Hall of Fame. To most people other than Titans' fans and perhaps Nebraska Cornhuskers' fans, Joshua Kalu is a totally irrelevant person.
Josh Kalu is going to be 28 years old, and has appeared in 44 games, with five starts. All with the Titans. He's currently a free agent. Could possibly be out of the league entirely quite soon, but I don't have a crystal ball.
No matter what happens to Kalu though, he will always be a mini Titans legend! For four seasons as a Titan, 2018-2020, and 2022, Kalu was a depth/special teams player.
For the most part he never really made a memorable impact, except for one epic, unforgettable November day in 2019. That season was pretty freaking magical and Kalu was a big part of it. The Titans had just changed to Ryan Tannehill as QB1 and were beginning to turn their season around and were giving the Chiefs everything they could handle. After a dramatic game the Chiefs were going to go for the game tying field goal and sent it to OT until Joshua Kalu said NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND and blocks the attempt!!!
Sometimes all it takes is one game to become a legend. No matter what happens, real Titans fans will never forget the name Joshua Kalu!!
