Even though it's been incredibly painful to watch Hive and the entire crypto world pretty much free fall, there has been one thing that has cheered me up a little bit, and that is getting the news of Derrick Henry being activated by the Titans!
This is just OUTSTANDING! I remember writing about this possible scenario occurring a few months ago when Derrick initially went down with his foot injury. I basically said that, if the Titans can manage to get the BYE week in the playoffs, that would be ideal because that would allow Derrick to be rested another week to potentially return for the playoffs.
Well, here we are! I don't know when this news was officially reported but basically we have less than twenty-four hours before the Titans Divisional Game and right on cue Derrick is ACTIVATED. The best case scenario happened in a terrible situation. It has been ten weeks of waiting and surviving and the Titans have their best offensive weapon back in the lineup to begin their Super Bowl run.
I don't know if his foot is one-hundred percent. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. But hey, he otherwise is completely healthy after not playing since Halloween. Derrick needs to just go off for THREE games, and the Titans are Champions! Just three games, use that dang foot for all it's worth. Plus, there is a BYE week before the Super Bowl!
I mean this offense is just a problem with Derrick on the field! He will run through your face or run straight past you. It's up to the defenders to make that decision sometimes. Maybe in the first quarter, the defenders are feeling themselves, and they stop Henry here and there. But in the fourth quarter, when defenses have been smashed, and smashed, and smashed repeatedly by this monster of a running back, often times defenders sorta quit.
Derrick's mere presence on the field makes the defense so paranoid that, they also forget the Titans have two elite wideouts and a solid quarterback to boot. Oh, by the way that quarterback will rip a thirty yard run off himself if teams forget. Which they almost always do when teams are so Derrick paranoid.
Fans EVERYWHERE are going to be amped!!!!! But that stadium though.... SHEESH.
I wish I was there, so badly. Home divisional playoff game, EVERYONE doubting this team. Jurrell Casey the 12th Titan, and now Derrick coming back? The Felines aren't going to be able to think, let alone snap the ball. I envision several false starts on the Felines tomorrow afternoon!
I don't want to say TOO much, I still want to make a preview post for this playoff game, so I will end this one here. But this is tremendous news. I always pretty much knew he was going to play, but I am so happy that this is finally official!
This crypto dip has been painful, but at least I will be able to distract myself briefly with this game tomorrow.
