Well in just a couple of hours the Titans are back to playing pretty much every Sunday, besides one Monday Night game on December 11th, for the rest of the regular season.
The Titans are set to face the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay. Both teams enter this game with 3-5 records. A sixth loss for either team would be pretty devastating for any type of playoff aspirations.
These teams are 3-5 and do feel fairly evenly matched for the most part but I'd say if any team here did have more momentum, that team would maybe be the Titans.
The Titans have a fresh young rookie QB in Will Levis set to make his third start. So far he's shown a fair bit of talent and potential. In fact, Levis was even named the team's official starter despite Ryan Tannehill seemingly very ready, if not completely ready, to play from his injury. Levis has simply shown the coaching staff enough that he is the better option at this point in time. This decision is clearly a big moment in franchise history, this could really be the start of a new era in the Music City.
With the rollercoaster of a season for the Titans, and the Levis news, the Titans feel like a bit of a whole new team. The o-line is still worrisome, and the lack of depth at receiver could be problematic, but nevertheless the energy in Tennessee is overall on the upswing. If the Titans can start an actual win streak, than the hype has the potential to explode.
The Bucs on the other hand have Baker Mayfield at QB who actually is not playing terrible football. If anything the problem for Tampa seems to be their defense. The Bucs really should have won their game last week against the Texans but the defense essentially choked.
The Titans will be on the road again and with all the positive vibes in Tennessee I hope they don't become lazy and have suffer a mini trap game. It wouldn't be tooooooo shocking if the Titans lose but, in a perfect world the Titans win this one and carry more momentum into that MASSIVE Jaguars game next week.
It should be an intense game. Sadly I'll be at work so I won't be able to watch live. Hopefully one day I can make enough money writing about my favorite team and never miss a game.
But yeah, the Titans need to go HAM these last nine games and make some magic happen damnit!
